They celebrate by giving each other 69 on the field in Spain?!!! That's why I watch English football haha
no.
a gaint killing...
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE ONCE INVINCIBLE BARCELONA?? A good friend of mine thinks Real will win CL and La Liga. He is not a Real fan. Anyone besides Real fans believe that could happen??

Barca didn't do too well in this game, and it's quite evident Villa hasn't been in tip top form lately. Hopefully they'll get the ball rolling again!
This is great for European football lol
i barely play .... and even i cud see that was a goal
Its funny how a few days before this match Xavi told the world that they (barca) are not unbeatable...

Good premonition!
it'd be even funnier if Xavi had said that barca are unbeatable... as is characteristic of his big mouth..

Stop hating the best midfielder in the world just said the truth.

how does he have a big mouth if he said barca are NOT unbeeatable?
jesus christ all these haters @familygguy89
3:52 classic!
The faces on the players after Getafe score are faces of truly passionate footballers. Yeah, they look down, but they certainly came back with positive energy. Well done Barca, the loss isn't even that bad...
I'm starting to worry about Barca, this season they've been brilliant at home but crap away. Mainly because the mentality of teams at home vs barca is all 11 players in defense and hit on the counter. I hope that Barca changes into thier usual selves again.
oh my god you lose one game and tie a few big deal. stop being a pussy they're still one of the best teams in the world. its not the end of the world
they'll still finish well, lol, relax. at least we know now there is no match fixing in Spain aha.
I would be slightly worried to be 6 points behind Real Madrid with El Clasico coming up soon if I were them. No doubt they will still finish well, but no doubt they won't be happy with anything less than first place finish at the end of the season.
Because of the opposing teams' more and more common defensive approach against FC Barcelona, I feel Barça have to change their strategy when facing certain teams. The classic 4-3-3, 70 % ball possession tactic does not always work, as seen against Mourinho's Inter in CL couple years ago, and now against Getafe. Guardiola will definitely have to think hard about the line-up for 10-D, because if Getafe was capable of beating them on the counter-attack, imagine what Real can do, with the most lethal counter-attack in the world atm.

Another big problem Barcelona faces is in attack. The trio Villa-Messi-Pedro worked wonders last season, but this season Villa just isn't the same anymore, Pedro has disappeared off the map, and new arrival Alexis has just come back from an injury and is not yet integrated in the Pep machinery. Cesc, being an offensive midfielder at heart, has managed to score 5 goals when playing in attack, but I feel he will be of much more importance as Xavi's substitute in midfield (with his accumulated fatigue from playing non-stop) rather than an alternative in attack.

The Barcelona squad are small guys, and don't have many aerial options in attack. They had Zlatan, but now that he's gone, I think they're going to have to look for someone tall in stature to give them that greater edge with crosses and hence offer more goal-scoring possibilities. Edinson Cavani, at 1.88 m and with a more than satisfying display of skill against Manchester City could be both a good and cheap option. But you don't even have to as far as Naples for an altrernative. Athletic's Llorente, who already proved himself in 2010's World Cup with Spain, could easily make the cut as well.
I dont care if barca doesnt win la liga, champions league or whatever
I still love my team

That is how an ideal fan should respond!
time for bugerking

Next time Barca should pick something from the Dollar menu
can u imagine getafes' players are eating burger king for free!! wow!
this is why i hate barca.....

Villa says Barcelona are already targeting the first clasico of the season as their best chance to cut into the deficit.

"We still have a direct game against them and we can win that easily," the Spain striker said. "This isn't over."

easily??...easily???....wow...some statement....

So what, what do ye want him to say, it's over, where f****d, that wouldn't make much sense would it, especially this early in the season, and also him being a barca player. And by the way if we have our team back to full strength before the el classico there's no reason we can't beat madrid, even though madrid are in great form.
@Jazze Well not being arrogant is a start, that cocky idiot
+1
thank you KeNii...lol...

yes, there is no reason why barca can't beat madrid but easily?...you struggle against getafe and you think you can bet us easily...i have no respect for cocky statements even from my own players.....better shut up and do the biz on the pitch....usually when a player is cocky in the press room it comes back to bite them or shows that they are nervous...and somehow thinking that a statement like this will fool us...not me.....and for another comment...yes 6 points is huge between madrid and barca....had it been the other way around i would be worried taking mardid's current form but hey...anything is possible in this game as we've seen....but idiot villa should learn to be more professional when talking to the media.

maybe he's trying to hype up his team and sound confident instead of bringing down the team's moral. quit being a douchebag. he doesn't care what you think about him nor does he care what you think about his club. just because we struggle against Getafe, doesn't mean we can't beat real. We lost 2-0 to Hercules (who got relegated) and beat Real 5-0 a few weeks later. Get your head out of your ass

yeah even madrid lose to levante, we can win at madrid, but it is going to be a difficult game for us; because they improved a lot from last season.. our team should not be over confident against them.. i hope we can win..

Even as a Madrid fan, Villa's type of statement is actually commonly used in the football world today. There are mainly two reasons I can see why Villa commented in such a way. Firstly, as St10r said, to hype up the team, to render his team confident. Secondly, to 'threaten' Real Madrid, in hopes that they will lose their confidence and play below their expectations. I don't see the second reason happening though.
Real Madrid is going to be no easy meat for us, they are probably the toughest team we will face in 3 years running.
Mourinho got his team playing as a team instead of individuals and that alone is the evidence why real madrid are doing so good this season.
I would just like to say on a different note that messi looks exhausted, he plays every game, and in every game has been key to our success, in saying this I'm not disregarding the importance of other players, but messi is messi. The problem with messi is not only that he wants to play but it's the fact pep is afraid to leave him off because he can change a game in an instant. I believe messi will get so burnt out that he could totally loose his form, which is why he needs to be rested. Not really sure what the answer is there. Also villa has been playing terrible.
time to eat more burgerking!
