@chrisland1976, you said "By the way, the most exciting football that exist is in Barcelona, not in the Netherlands, didn't the world Cup last year give prove to that?"

First off you should be aware of Barcelona's history. They essentially were a nothing club before Cruyff came and won championships for them. Since then Barca have completely adopted and adapted the Dutch attacking, total football style. So to say the most exciting football, today, is is Barca, is to acknowledge that the Dutch initiated it. Don't believe me? Video Google "Xavi Cruyff" and you can hear him speak about how he is a disciple of Cruyff's school of thought. Or look up this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiki-taka where it speaks about how Dutch coaches (plural) implemented the style in Barca over a couple decades.

So Barca is basically Holland's stepchild.

cos it was a friendly

Talking to yourself? ;) But you're right means nothing!
you're wrong. you seem not to be familiar with the dutch-german football rivalry, these games always mean something, and if it's just prestige.
same as for englishmen a match between england vs. germany always means something, though this doesn't count for germans. just saying

WTF is this crap performance from Holland?? Defense was HORRIBLE! Almost like children playing against professionals. Even if it was a friendly, they should at least put some kinda effort. Great game from Germany though, awesome team work.

The reason why Germany won, why they're probably better at the moment and might still be in the Euros if all goes well, becomes obvious right here: while a team like Holland is, apparently, all about the stars (many a Holland supporter round here seems to be entirely focused on this issue), Germany is all about the TEAM. They, contrary to Holland, seem to have no difficulty replacing key players. The Netherlands, apparently, can't, which shows they rely too much on a few star players.
This is also the reason why Miroslav Klose is so strong and always has been for the national side: yes, he's an awesome striker; but above all, he's a magnificent TEAM player. Which, not least to Löw, makes him a lot more valuable for the team than Gomez.

Note: everyone who loves and lives football HAS to love this team for exactly this reason, because in the end this is what it's all about: the team. AND they play beautiful football as a team. Of course, Netherlands supporters do not have to love them right now, that's understandable :)

beautiful combinations by the Germans, isn't it? that's the proof of high quality, guys! To those who always insist on a biased stinking conclusion that the German team is only a disciplined machine lacking technical qualities, this game is a slap in the face!

I hope that silences the Klose haters cause he just played so well in this game. The unity and lack of ego in the German ranks have them rated highly in my books for the Euro campaign I think. Spain will of course provide some stern opposition as favourites and the Dutch will rebound and be as strong as ever. Can't wait for it to start!

The germans are classy
ok germany lovers, i dont think this game says a lot because holland was missing the most important dangerous players like: rvp, affelay, van der vaart and robben and the last one cane make a very big difference. I agree on the fact that Germany was better but i dont agree that they were dominating the game; first of all they had less ball possession and their goals were just very fast attacks after some stupid mistake made by the Dutch, but thats their quality and theyre very good at that, but i know that if they meet again in Euro 2012 when holland has their key players THEN DIE MANNSCHAFT WONT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST THE NETHERLANDS, THE CREATORS OF THE MOST EXCITING TYPE OF FOOTBALL THAT EXISTS!!!!!!!

Ouch that did hurt didn't? Getting the orange lower backside wiped by the Germans. I guess its the nature of loosing, there is always a reason, and the reason is never that the opponent is better is it? By the way, the most exciting football that exist is in Barcelona, not in the Netherlands, didn't the world Cup last year give prove to that?

perhaps you have no idea how Barcelona has developed the tiki taka way of play..they got influenced by the dutch total football..

anyway, we won them and we enjoyed the victory over the dutch while we deserved it.

@Mibielmaster:

Aww that's cute...

i duno about all of you but id rather watch this current germany side of the past two years play their goal hungry, fast paced, one touch football. It is alot more exciting then watching the midfield of barca play kick ball for 90 minutes as beautiful the passes may be what they do in 10-50 passes germany does in 3-5... not saying thats better. But its better to watch.

@Mibielmaster
It is quite delusional of you to claim that the team, who just beat your team 3-0, dominating all aspects of the whole game, won't stand a chance in the next match. The bottom line is you are quite a sore loser.
+2
Let's be real. Robben and RVP are going to be injured for the Euros anyway...
+4
D1rtySanchez..... Dont say that... it hurtsss
+2
yeah, i don't want them to miss the euros even if bayern has bench him for 6 more months.
and you have to add, that two important players for germany had to be replaced too.
but its was just a friendly, so... lets look forward to the euro :)
dont get your hopes up the dutch were missing most of their key players plus its just a friendly
and germany was also missing key players like Schweinsteiger and Lahm, they are both extremely important for the 'German team and you didn´t even see a difference, probably because they are able to exchange every player, they definitely are one of the big favourites to win the title...
i bet you 1000 pounds the dutch will beat them if they meet in the euro's
ye but its only a friendly and means nothing
