Was the Greek goalie able to hold on to a single ball all game long? I dont think so...
...he basically held on as well as Greece is able to hold on to money, rofl.

Great win with some notes :
1. Ger's def was so vulnerable imo, with an attack class like greece has, they could tear apart ger's def with only two player. Okay, lahm was way back behind sapilngidis or whoever he was, but why was hummels stopped his tracks? If he didnt, he could cut sapilngidis pass. And boateng was to concern to the ball, he didnt recognice that he was outpositioned by samaras.
2. Too many wrong passes imo from schweini that could lead to counterattack by greece.
3. Theres some occassion where greece could shot @goal clearly.

Fortunately it was greece, with their class of attack and shooting capability. Hopefully Loew can fix it. It wont do against the italians...

*Still rooting for germany since 1990

1. that's because 2 of our defenders were thinking they were midfielers for most of the game and were further up the pitch than they should have been. that won't happen against italy.
2. he says he's still not fully fit from his injuries earlier in the year, but hopefully he'll be back to the form he was in against the netherlands

What do I have to watch!?
Bar. Down.
Why are the goals on both sides equally large?

Why is there no roof on the stadium??

Thanks
what are you smoking?

thanks

It's all falling into place nicely for a Germany v Spain final. whilst I would like to see this match I also want England to do a Chelsea and go all the way against the odds.

.. and soon after football would fall behind chess in term of excitement.

Perfect team, Germany, if you just put Bender in instead of the weak Boateng, who can cost Germany dear in the semifinale or finale.

Yep, I`m not sure either why is guy is playing. He makes big mistakes in a lot of situations, you can almost count on it.
Bender wouldn't be on the bench if he is that good, weak Boateng set Khedira up.
if gomez played he woulda have gotten a hat trick
If Gomez had played, we would have looked like Spain did yesterday... Apathetic and uninspiring. ;)

No but in all seriousness, Gomez is a decent striker but certainly doesn't fit the German system nearly as well as Klose does. Part of the reason Germany played so well against Greece was because Gomez didn't play. He doesn't make the runs like Klose does...runs that our gecko vision playmaker needs.

LOL Geko Vision I like that!!!lol
im not trying to be nasty here but i dont want germany to get to the final so its fine with me.

Well turn your tube off then ;)

Klose, please never retire! I admire this mans spirit. Even at the age of 34, he still brings it to the table. Most complete striker ever. This was certainly not his best of best games, but considering his injury break and age, unreal. Hope he starts for the rest of the Euro's.

And Reus! Have you seen a player make more runs off the ball then him? He is constantly running into the gaps even if he doesn't get the ball. Very smart player. He created tons of space for Klose and Oezil this game.

It's really question of which opponent they'll play in the semis, probably. I guess Reus could start again against Italy with their defense being at least as strong and defiant as the Greeks'. Against England it should be Podolski again, with his pace being more suited for counter-attacks.
Poldi is certainly no faster than Reus. Especially, if you've watched any of BMG games last season you'd know how deadly Reus is on the counter. I don't see Podolski getting by Reus again. He's been awful so far, even lacking the pace that used to make him so great.

However, Schuerlle didn't impress enough to push Mueller out of this team. Right now I think the best starting line up would be Reus-Oezil-Mueller. Of course with Klose on top. :)

Don't get me wrong, I see him as the better player too. The only thing that's troubling me is that Löw sticks to his established players. Otherwise Podolski wouldn't even have the right to have started against Denmark. Well, we'll have to wait anyway to see how he's gonna decide.
I still think Reus is one of the best German players, it`s a joke that he is not in the starting 11 every single game! He`s fast and very tricky...
good game, germany!
the only two downsides of the game i can see were the lack of efficiency in front of goal before lahm's strike and boateng, who did not have a lucky day. on the equaliser, he failed to stick with samaras and the action that caused the spot kick wasn't too clever as well. however, he has played greatly the games before, so i'm sure he'll be back to his normal level of performance in the semis!

damn i hate this comments that germany is no real german team but players of different nationals.

Fact 1: ALL Germany players learnt to play football in germany. they all played in german junior leagues and become special players because germany gives good opportunities. maybe özil would be a ugly dishwasher in turkey who knows.

Fact 2: ALL (except kakau) can speak german best and fluently than any other languages. they identify themselfs for germany.

if u compare germany with other teams u can see that really many (mostly no big footballnations) have many players in their team who were nationalized because of their grandfather or mother

Cacau isn't even part of the squad at the moment. It's funny when people call Germans nazis at the slightest hint of patriotism (or any other opportunity really) but start to whine the second we play beautiful football with successfully integrated players.

It's really just "haters gonna hate". Just take a look at the other nations, from that (racist) point of view you'd never stop complaining about nations like England or France. Balotelli for Italy, Gebre Selassie for Poland, Ibrahimovic for Sweden, I could go on and on...

They haters are just looking for an excuse to hate, dont worry about them, they cant hate on the way the Germans play football (-cause we crush everyone-), so they have to find something else. Just see it as a compliment, cause they cant find anything to hate about the way we play.
If you`re born in Germany or grew up there, speak the language fluently (ok, that probably excludes Poldi, lolz) and have spent most of the time there and have a German passport, you`re German, no matter how you look like. It doesnt matter if (one of) your parents were born in a different country, the parents are not on the field.
Haha...Ozil (Turkey) sinks Greece. He looked like a old, horse-archer, out there. Good job. Germany would not have scored four without him.
old what? who speaks like that?

That was one of the most british performances by the Greek Keeper. unbelievably bad
