Ozil was fantastical in the game--2 Assists, and a couple of nice crosses =D. And Lahm; Lahm is just that defender. Lahm is a class ass defender. That captain armband is well deserved.

Muller is such an intelligent player. I wish Arsenal would of had signed him instead of Bendtner. I also maintain that had he not been banned for the semi final against Spain, we would of seen a different team lift the world cup.

Really is a toss up between Netherlands, Germany and Spain as the pre tournament favourites. Going on current form I'd have to rank them so far as..

1. Germany
2. Netherlands
3. Spain

Then again, a lot can happen in 1year+.

Have to agree Borg. I love the Dutch team but they always seem to flatter to deceive when it comes down to progressing after they have hit maximum points in the early group stages. Once it starts to get to the knockout phase they always seem to blip. Having said that, Spain were exactly the same before the last WC and Euros...and look what happened. Here's hoping for a Netherlands v Germany final, what a final that would be!

Im really not a fan of Gomes in national games. He usually plays poorly and when he comes on Ozil has to play on the left wing which makes him less influential aswell. Its basically a loose loose situation. Im psyched about Gotze though, he had a great impact, really talented kid this one.
