I was looking forward to this match very much and enjoyed watching with some friends and germany friends and was great fun. The game how ever was bit of a disappointment, not going to lie, our finishing and passing was off and not the best but it's ok, I mean sure that was Portugal and first game but I hoped for more, but its ok, our defense was strong and wow Hummels is fantastic player, enjoyed that. We did get lucky with the bar with Pepe but wow nice, Neuer made some key saves, especially that one at end that saved the 3 points for win, was very happy. I could say alot more in game, but I really think Germany will improve when they play Netherlands and will be a joy to watch and very excited! I do like Klose more then Gomez and was a bit surprised he didn't but Gomez is a good player for sure and the header at end was fantastic goal and great to see! I'm excited for coming up games, its looking good for Germany with the 3 points and ahead of Netherlands and Portugal who have 0 and Denmark with 3 as well. Love Euro's!

do you know what makes me confident for the other german games
that a really bad playing german side wins against a strong portugese side ;) iam sure against netherland we will see the true strength of germany :)

Netherlands will be a different match. They MUST win. They have a s**t defence, unlike Portugal. And we will have the space we need.
Other than that sould be a good game, possibly very high scoring.

LOL, that second ball on the crossbar was nowhere nearly as dangerous as that first. A misstimed cross, thats all. Apart from that, neither side was very good this game.

Wouldn't be the first time this year Pepe struggled with Gomez. But, that deflection was tough, especially with his momentum carrying him the other way

is it just me or do the refs suck big time in this euro? At first i thought the guy was against germany, but in the end he was just incompetent... the foul against neuter.... clear red card! the punch in the face of badstuber.... red card! gomez goal... why did he call a foul? there were also some bad calls for the portuguese.

calm down kid,NEUER foul happened early in the game and Postiga had every right to go after that ball. Also, the Portuguese players stopped playing when they heard the whistle resulting in an easy turn and shoot opportunity for Gomez. Stop trying to ruin this game by the involvement of the ref.
