You've got to laugh at the ridiculous amount of U.S patriotism that breaks out when Dempsey finishes... Just lol

His first goal was a brilliant finish though, glad to see his goal scoring tally go into double digits for once.
great win Fullham, good to see Dempsey scoring
Dempsey for a president of US!!!
wow fulham! and dempsey too. 'MERICA
I've been saying for a while now that I would like to see Arsenal's pair of DC be Vermaelen-Hangeland
*CD (Central Defenders)
that would be a good look
yes Dempsey make U.S Proud USA 4 LIfe:D

Ya i think Dempsey is one of the most under rated player in the league!!Take nothing away... that was a good finish!!
give americans one chance to be cocky and geez.... all hell breaks loose

Generalization against Americans generalizing? Good job.

America have one striker who is average at best, and now they are "the s**t"? Lol. I would have against Dempsey if he wasn't a total prick in person.
have nothing against*
Name that one striker for me...

FYI... We are not claiming we're "the s**t"... Also, Dempsey is cool in person... But he's hard like that because he's a Texan which is normal...

I don't know what you have against American footballers or our Nation playing the beautiful game... I recommend you shut the f**k up and let us enjoy football like everyone else...

Thanks...

I think somebody's still mad that their keeper sucked it up against the USA in the World Cup and made England look stupid ^+^

Haha yeah, England has a terrible world cup, as did alot of teams, I really don't mind international teams playing, and I like America, they are coming from being a joke team, to being able to play, to being able to compete on the big stage, I respect that. That being said, I find it laughable how as soon as an American scores everyone is going back the old OMG "USA DOMINATE EVERYTHING" etc etc, just read some of these comments. As for Dempsey, I've seen reports about his off pitch acts, also what pisses me off about him ,is during the world cup, instead of training for the matches, he just partied and brushed off opposition as "worse than the USA", his attitude is what I dislike.
That side of him... I don't like... Again it's because he's a Texan... To those who says USA dominate everything... They need a reality check... I'm a US citizen through naturalization... I moved here in the US and have served this country in the military... With that said... I can see the patriotism when an American footballer in Europe is highlighted... Like Landon Donovan's stay at Everton... I can see us Americans are proud... But to the ones that says we dominate on everything... Well... They don't speak for all of us Americans because that's just stupid...

In another terms... All their saying is we love football too...
MEH...the way I see it is USA spends tons of money in University sports, probably most in the world, its about time you have a team that can beat...who? costa rica? Jamaica? Canada? please, I know you're proud but dont let a pretty goal blind you from the reality of true quality teams. Dempsy is NOT the most underated player in the league (by far) with that being said, nice finishes Dempsey :D

Someone has been living under a rock... What are you talking about University sport??? Football (soccer) is played in Universities all over the US... We have been winning the Gold Cup non stop... With the exception of last year... There's really no other Country in CONCACAF that can match us in play except Mexico... And let me remind you that we defeated Spain in the Confederations Cup ending their winning streak... Scored 2 goals so can't say much for luck because if you saw the match... It was well played by both teams but Spain did went to sleep... And I'm not bragging about that and I am not stating we are the best because we defeated Spain and held our own against Brazil but with d**che bags like you... It's hard for us to fall in love with the beautiful game and keep going... But not anymore because no matter what you say, it doesn't matter to us now because we know where we stand in the world of football... Hate all you want, but we are doing the best we can to promote the love for the beautiful game here in the US...

And don't talk down to me about football either... I'm only a US citizen through naturalization... Football is a religion to me...
University sportS, did you miss the 's'?? I was reffering to the entire U.S. sports budget (like i said probalby the most in the world) Most pro sports in the US gets their players from college/university teams) unlike the rest of the world of football.

Actualy you ARE bragging about that one game (want a medal?) and you guys got nothing on brasil lol, douche bags like you make me laugh everytime I hear that.

BTW by saying you love football and how its a religion to you over and over and over doesnt make your team good. We all love football thats why we're here dumbass.

And I dont hate U.S. i was just stating that with all that money invested into sports its about time they have a good team.

I love the sport aswell, I go watch toronto FC all the time (and most of the time i am disapointed with the quality of MLS, theres nothign like watching games in europe) but you dont see me sitting here saying they are awesome just cause i live here...

And seriously wtf is a CONCACAF??? is that supposed to be something of impotance?? (lol im just getting under your skin if you havnt noticed)

Mexico has been, still is, and will remain being the best team in north america.

Try to smile a bit you need it!! :D
I am smiling quite a bit... I can see arguing will get us nowhere here and you seem knowledgeable about football so let's cut the negativity... I'll start...

It's a bit weird I know but the reason why MLS signs players from Universities is because it's a great place to find young talents aside from academies of their own... Also, I'm sure you know about the whole history of Universities here in the US and it's ties with professional sports... But like the rest of the world, most players playing in the MLS are actually from another country...

About the Confederations Cup... Again I am not bragging about that... We are no Brazil and this I know but you never know what could happen in a football match... I'm just saying we held our own against Brazil and outplayed Spain... I don't want a medal... LOL...

I know we are all here in footytube because we all love football but most folks tend to forget what football is all about...

And I completely agree with you about financial wise... Although the US never really did had a strong financial backing until now... Because "soccer" was not the main sport here... It is just now becoming mainstream and it's quite sad because it's all about marketing and money here... But now the US and it's people are finally embarrassing the beautiful game... It's quite nice to see although I gotta get use to calling it "soccer" in public because people tend to think I'm talking about that egg game... LOL...

CONCACAF is our region and to us it is quite important and yes Mexico and Costa Rica are in this region with us...

And sorry dude but Mexico is not the top National Team in our region... The US holds that crown... Mexico is number 27 in FIFA World Ranking... We are 22... If you don't like the facts then you may want to talk to FIFA about that... But I still have much respect for Mexico because they are the only ones who have been giving us a run for our money aside from Ticos...

And you have to understand... Mexico's number one sport is football, and they have been playing this for quite some time and it is well established there... Football is just now reaching mainstream in North America specially the US... Let's just say if we have been playing this game as long as Mexico has been and it's the number one sport here... Then it's definitely no competition... But even now, we are still considered above Mexico...

But man I love Chicharito... What a great bargain for Manchester United...

Oh, one more thing... My best friend is from Lisbon... LOL...
sorry man but ratings dont mean s**t, mexico is still better than u.s.
Results = Ratings my good man... If you think Mexico is better than the US... Then you might wanna tell them to start producing results better than us so that FIFA can see it... Our football may not be pretty but we do have heart and an overwhelming determination to prove people wrong and fight to the last minute...

Again... Results = Ratings my good man...
Dempsey, well done, some nice finishes, good job

Bolton play differently without Sturridge, it's becoming too evident now...
