Dam...Fulham only conceded one goal in 7 games under Martin Jol..and they havent lost yet..granted that all the games besides against Aston Villa were against some random European clubs for Europa qualifiers..I still think its relatively impressive..

Given is gonna be a great signing for Aston Villa. But I think both teams will finish in mid table.

They are to strong to be relegated but just not strong enough to challenge for Europe.

So frustrating to play any team that Shay Given is backstopping!

2 teams deff to watch this season! Shay Given was the one for Arsenal.. but..

I watched this game. Not that bad, considering that it is the start of the season. It seemed to me that Villa were the most satisfied side and not only because they got a draw away.
Such a great pleasure to see Given back in the game. I assume Citeh did not want to sell him to the top clubs, because I cannot understand why Arsenal for example have not rushed to snatch him before Villa did.
Kudos to McLeish for doing it and my sympathy for him has just gone up one notch.

Best acquisition by McLeish: Shay Given.

Despite of sitting on our bench for almost the whole year last season, he's still a stellar goalkeeper.

As like other City fans, I appreciate his contribution for us in the past and wish him the best in the future. :)

Dempsey looked quite good I thought, always where he should be but it was a boring match. Only first game of the season tho, I expect it will get better
