The game was poor...But your right, the stadium looks awesome. To be honest, the stadium was the star in this match lol.

Actually I checked it again from the web and found out that this is the second game ever played on this new stadium,. Apparently France and Romania played this qualifier game on September 6th in this stadium too, but there were huge problems concerning the turf then and they had to replace it with a new one just a couple of weeks ago. Also, I just found out that the final game for Europe League this year will be played in this stadium. It looks good but I like it better when the stands (especially the ones behinds the goals) are much closer to the pitch as in most of the British stadiums.

You are correct my friend. The "National Arena" is the host stadium from Bucuresti (Bucharest), Romania for the Europa League final.

Romania was supposed to play Argentina in the first game on this stadium, but Barcelona and Real Madrid were about to play each other 4 days later, so the teams didn't want their players to be away on international duty in a friendly game. Eventually, the game was rescheduled for next year.

Thanks for the info my friend. It looks like I simply mixed up with the grand opening date for this nice stadium; I thought it was summer 2012 but apparently it was 2011.
