Those damn vuvuzelas should be banned from MLS as they have been elsewhere. At best, they create a flat atmosphere; at worst, they destroy all atmosphere along with ones hearing. Its one thing for them to be used in South Africa, but they have no organic connection whatsoever to the sport in the US. It is a shame as Dallas have some decent fans.

Regarding the game, some abysmal defending from NY and a few decent finishes from Ricardo and Cooper.

back line needs to clear balls better. and the shape was non existent in many parts of the game. that all said meara looked good as far as a first outing for a rookie goalie can. he showed it on the second dallas goal. could have used his feet for saving any chance low and should have been waiting for the chip but otherwise a decent performance. and castillo looked sound for fc dallas. kid has got some skill
