I love how the haters are commenting saying messi doesnt perform for argentina because messi played 67 games and scored 22 goals
JUST SO YOU KNOW, maradona played 91 games and scored 31 goals...so not much difference

Please don't compare messi with maradona. Messi is still young and got more to offer. But right now he is a star player not a legend. There is lot he has to prove to get there.

Maradona got the world cup in 86 and took the team to the finals in 90. He proved himself in both the Spanish and Italian league with a big list of trophies.

Messi is exceptional with Barca (practically is barca heheh). Take out his goals all the games will be 2-0, 2-1, 3-2. But if you cant control and command the team in the world cup or even the copa america, you are not there yet. If he gets the next world cup he will enter the legends.

For now he is a star player like Ronaldo, RVP, and list of few. They all score exceptional goals in their games but don't get a chance to prove in the highest level known as the WORLD CUP.
