Northern Ireland was lucky to get the equalizing goal. Faroe Islands deserved to get 3 points for their effort. ...so far we are the only ones who has scored against N.Ireland in group C. ....and sweet memories from the 1 - 1 draw in Belfast 20 years ago (when an electrician scored and "turned off all the lights" in Belfast. Go Faroes!!

This is the funniest comment that I have ever read here on Footytube. Some friends of mine in Turkey were supporting Faroe Islands and San Marino in today's match-ups. Sadly, San Marino -again- lost to Moldova at home today. I hope that electrician now shares the good memories with his grandchildren :-)

Absolutely gutted, dominated the game and must have had 15+ shots, about 7 or 8 falling to Lafferty. Wasteful finishing and unrecognisable to the team that beat Slovenia last month or even drew with Italy on friday.

I wouldn't say Northern Ireland were "lucky" by any stretch, just poor in the final third, complacency creeping in once again. A complacent attitude towards minnows has stopped us qualifying for tournaments for years now and sadly, it doesnt seem to be changing.
