Watching: League 1 Oldham Athletics’ excellent cup run was eventually ended by Everton in an entertaining clash at Goodison Park. Kevin Mirallas got the Toffees off to the perfect start, however the Latics never stopped believing, and but for the post and the referee missing a Darron Gibson handball they would have immediately pulled level. Everton though took control of the match, Leighton Baines scoring from the spot and Leon Osman added a third in the second half. Oldham left with their pride firmly intact, and Matt Smith continued his amazing cup run heading in a consolation. Everton through 3-1 they will play Wigan in an all Premier League quarter final.
