Ha ha ha ha. Yet Roy thinks Rooney is like Pele. British media always think that Rooney is a world class player in the rank of Messi and Ronaldo. A world class player will always show his quality. Messi or Ronaldo will always prove their worth anywhere and any time. How many present English players will dare leave premier league and play in Spain, Germany, Italy or Holland? NONE. They are always over rated in England.

If Rooney scores a penalty, it will be called best goal of the week. Ronaldo & Fabregas proved themselves both in England and Spain.

Rooney isn't Pele or Messi but he is a true world class player, he's won the CL and played and beaten some of the best teams in the world including Barca.

Even when we lost to Barca in the CL final Rooney still scored a great goal.

I don't know where your Rooney hating is coming from. The reason Rooney failed in the tournament is because the manager used the wrong tactics to play him.

As for thinking Rooney isn't world class because he didn't carry the England team to victory let me remind u that your beloved Messi hasn't done much internationally too. When Argentina needed him he didn't "show his quality" like a true world class player. So according to u Messi isn't world class too.

GERMANY ARE AFRAID OF ITALY, Ozil said they would rather England because playing Italy is always tough, I Give Italy the upper hand being that Spain couldn't beat them earlier, Italy as the strongest defence in the tournament, they have the best midfielder in Pirlo and some world class striker, Germany is good going forward but their defence is suspect which will be their downfall, as you can see Greece scored two goals against them too.

After watching England - Ukraine I was so happy Italy had to face them instead of France! I honestly think that England played the worst football in this competition so far, at least considering the potential they have! Even Ireland played a better game against Italy.. I don't think any other team would have conceded 64% ball possession and 20 shots on target to the Italian team.
I personally think that Italy is not that good, we still have defensive problems, and we struggle at scoring as well, but it's good to see every single player give anything he has in every game!

Lol Balotelli couldve scored a couple of goals in the game, but oh well, its balotelli! He tried some spectacular shots, but to no result. Great ability, shame he has no sporting brain, or no brain at all for that matter :D

and balotelli caused so much stress to the english defenders and goalie.

not scoring is not as bad as not attempting.. and ballo has had at least 5-8 attempts per game. granted he should have scored more, he still has 2 goals.

and we're all confident that he will explode at any moment (explode in a scoring way not just beating up the ref).

i disagree GotIbra..

zidane almost had a minor stroke right before it went in. he didn't hit the crossbar on purpose, it was a mistake.

pirlo's was flush. like his whole game. and he did it in a shoot-out, not penalty shot, while his team was down by a goal... granted the world cup is the world cup.

From what i know buffon is magnificently stopping penalty in lower/mid corner that why zidane did shoot it at top. unless he confident to shoot low/mid area with power.
That why trezeguet miss the penalty because he know buffon will never save high ball penalty because they are team-mate that time..

At least now England don't need to worry about playing Germany anytime soon. Getting deservedly beaten on penalties by Italy is far less humiliating then a thrashing at the hands of the Germans.
