Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has sent get well wishes to on-loan AC Milan midfielder David Beckham following his devastating injury.

‘Becks’ ruptured his left Achilles tendon while playing for the Rossoneri last weekend and faces up to six months on the sidelines after going under the knife.

“I’m really sorry for what unfortunately happened to him,” Del Piero told Mediaset.

“With the World Cup just two months away and in the thick of the title race, it’s really tough to come to terms with such an injury which suddenly takes it all away.

“I’m particularly sorry for him because I know him very well. He is a good lad, a big professional.

“Dear David, I’m sure you will overcome this challenge too. Good luck. We’ll meet again on the pitch.”
Good result against the african champions... (lets not forget)
just v good result not v good performance . England has alot of weapons ,good luck .
Not a great english performance
Thats cuz english fans are too busy sassing john terry....taking away him captaincy was hard enough...so now the only thing left to do is to get off his dick...no homo lol
egypt played better hard luck , england should watch the way they play . spain s coming after WC10
spain is good...don't get me wrong...but they don't have the experience at the world cup level...remember wat zidane did to them in WC 2006?...and USA in confederation cup 2009?...well i hope the better not flop!!!
England however have weapon x...Fabio himself!!!Need i say more???
instead of crouch could be any player and anyone would score from that positions. heskey or owen are much better than him. and beckham should play too...instead of walcott for example.
u r right , crouch was lucky & his goals was easy.
if i was there i scored them . lol
great goal by egypt even that after the celebration was a bit stupid as any religion is . england doesn`t convince nobody to be considered favorits next WC but overall they were lucky and they won this monster call egypt "irony"
dude id have someone else start ur car in the next few days
the celebration was fantastic , Egyptian team has especial style of celebration away from religious matters . this football don`t like to speak on another things .
Why are the majority of fans voting that England were awesome?!

We were outplayed in the first half (and this is a home game against Egypt) - Gerrard was sloppy, Rooney wasteful, Terry got skinned, Lampard should've scored. Better in the second half but we only won because of very questionable goalkeeping and a goal that was a couple of yards offside.

Not awesome at all. Average at best. The one highlight for me: Crouchy :D
I thought Egypt were the better team in 1st half and England in the 2nd yet overall i see Egypt play a more stytlish type of game that is so fum to watch and the English were clinical in the 2nd half yet the score line does not reflect on the true ability of the two teams as Egypt conceeded 2 funny goals one with the a goalie howler and the other clear cut off side ..the true final score for this game is 1-1 a very even contest!!
Hadary might have screwed up on the second English goal, but has the English defender when he fell during the Egyptian goal. s**t happens in soccer, and it is hard to discount that goal.

The third English goal was offside, but it England would have won anyways 1-2 if it wasn't counted.

Egypt barely created any scoring chances in the second half and they were all tired trying to keep up with England, as you can see Age does matter. Egyptian team defense was too tired as they threw all their energy in the first half. We had at least 2 defenders on Rooney running full speed at all times and he still managed to shot on goal shots.

Egyptian team needs some young talent fast to rejuvenate the decaying team. The Egyptian team has lots of skill and experience, but youth cannot be ignored.
Nice to see England winning!
well done england team you won the match 3 1 but i am not happy with the kipper they must put hart he is better kipper than other in england i am not the england supporter i am brazil sopporter but i love to seee him playing ..... and bridge too i don't think this team will reach world cup final
"the pitch has come under great criticism ... don't see too many egytians slipping so far" .. ha ha

Egypt started well, but Crouch is the king!
Buona partita! una sorpresa in questo match è stato Crouch che riconoscono il valore!
crouch is a lot better than people think he his
what is the song they play at half?
The song is called bittersweet symphony
The artist is The Verve
thanks
Crouch is goods, but England has such a great lineup, I would place someone else with Wayne...
