How did the teams perform?

I think the Netherlands have the best shot at the trophy come World Cup time. Not only do they have Van Percie and Nisterloy up top but they have a stellar defensive midfield too. Not to say I don't see Spain and Brasil giving challenges, but Holland wants it...
Consider the climate when you think about who may win the world cup next year. Historically home teams and teams from surrounding areas have had a great advantage when competing for the championship. Not to say that Holland does have good chance of winning.
im sad to see croatia get thumped like that but im also happy that england got the result. means a good team qualifyed for the world cup. i would of hated to see another euro incedend
Yes it was a solid thrashing. And indeed good news for England fans to see their team redeem itself at Wembley. This coming world cup will be interesting considering some big names are on the brink of not qualifying: ie; Argentina, Portugal, France. I find it strange that these teams world rankings remain in the top 25 yet they may not go to South Africa.
ahah i find it hilarious when england fans say stuff like best midfield in the world and things like that. It's such jokes. Especially when Barry is included, that is the funniest thing i've heard. Gerrard and Lampard are 2 of the best flops on the world stage. Lennon is sick and i have nothing bad to say about him. Lets be honest though spain has the deepest team in the world, along with brazil. They both have about 40 ridiculous players who could play on their national team and still win the world cup, euro cup etc.. wish i could say the same for england who couldn't even make euro. The best midfield in the world is definitely spain. How can you argue with xavi..iniesta..fabregas..alonso..senna..david silva..guti..to name a few. They're in a league of their own. I'll leave it with the fact that 2 of the 4 starting mids for spain have won major international awards. Wish i could say the same for englands midfielders..ever in the last 10 years. So lets not be making silly comments like best midfield in the world.
What has Spain done on the World stage buddy?......Absolutly nothing!!! Take your rants to the Spain forums smallfry
This is great and something England had been missing for many years. We have quality bench players who can come and win a game for us. That is why Spain are strong, that is why Brazil have been winning for many years. Its def a good sign
LAMPARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GERRARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i recon its gonna b england vs spain in world cup final next year and tht will b some game dont ya think
Thats a good call if they don't meet each other earlier than the finals. Brazil and Netherlands are also undefeated in qualification matches and it may come down to which teams can stand the heat and altitude in South Africa.
For some reason I have a feeling that Brazil will not win, i dont know why but I sense they will be knocked out during the quater or semifinals
Croatia left millions of holes in their defense in the first half, but it could just be the great runs of England.
No penalty called on Eduardo, haahhaha awesome, he had it coming for that disgusting dive.
