we're pretty good going forward but i dunno whats happening with the midfield & our defence especially. its in disarray to say the least. i used to think enyeama was remarkable but....... we can't hope to go much further with this form. i miss the days of taribo west & ike shorunmu....
Great come back to Egypt , yes they do it !!
Great start To Gedo i think he will going away in the football great future wait you !!
That 2nd goal was darkside!!
Wow Nigeria was horrible in this game. Credit to Egypt for fighting back and taming the eagles. The nigerian coach needs to figure his defence and if he can find a goalie then that might help him as well.
I foresee coach Amodou of Nigeria being sacked should Nigeria not make it to the semi-finals in African Cup of Nations. I truly believe the coach failed to read the Egyptian play strategies during the game, in turn allowing Egyptian players more space with the ball. Nigeria defense was poorly organized and the coach has yet to correct this mistake since Nigeria vs. Tunisia encounter in Abuja. I still think Kanu should withdraw from Nigerian squad to give chance to a younger player.

I once stated that Nigeria didn't qualify for the world and that they need to someday return the favor to Mozambique who has proven to be unbeatable at home. I truly like Nigeria since it's fatherland, but I would instead want Nigeria to concede its World Cup ticket to Egypt or perhaps Tunisia. I like a team that gives a good fight during tournaments of this nature and Egypt and Tunisia have both demonstrated this quality with other qualified African teams. I however believe Nigeria will survive in the African Cup of Nations to restructure the entire team. Both Egypt and Nigeria played well. Nigeria on the other hand failed to show they can be viewed as the classic Super Eagles; instead, they looked more of Eagles that have been shot by Pharaoh's catapult.

I repeat, if Nigeria does nothing to correct its mistakes on: defense, put pressure on the ball, owned midfield of play, maintain concentration during game duration, and play early through ball to its forward, there the squad will not make it out of the group stage in South Africa.
Egypt needs to replicate their African Cup form so they can qualify for the World Cup. It would be nice if they can win it again as it would make them the 1st team to ever win it 3 times in a row.
not possible mate, i doubt it
Let's wait and see!
the way they play I believe Egypt can do it. They seem like the consistent team. Its a shame they didn't make the world cup because they play really well.
i feel that we can do it easly if we don`t play with arab country .
What if Aboutrika was here? and ZAKI + MIDO in good shape...Egypt is playing some sexy stuff...i like Ahmed Hassan; he's ageless!
as a Nigerian, i feel we played what we havent played in while, i.e. one touch football in the first 30 minutes,,,then we switched back to what us now know as "A-Mod" tactics....and we got swamp by the pharoahs...but i must add that this game was a classic show of african football...congratulations to egypt
superb goals; ahmed zidane and obasi were both handfulls
nigeria lacked quality defenders and
motiveted players
lacked creativity as well
nothing looks super from those eagles
one more time...
if you get a chance to shoot, pick target and take it. That`s how to win a massive game, otherwise.... The other quality, hunger...if you dont show character, you lose. Egypt all the way.
good game for tha reigning champs. couple of rocket shots out there today!
great game!
good game by Egypt.Nigeria's defence was just awful.
yes...we expect the coach to be sacked in earnest!
