i applaud walcott for not going down at first contact and fighting for that goal, splendid, also england needs to play bent more he is a great goal scorer, Since 2005 he is the second leading scorer in the epl only behind wayne rooney
wow how often do you see that, player get hit in the face and not go down screaming, walcott is a real man i suppose
mehhh..good overall game.
I'd just like to add a big well done to the villa boys. Many people thought they weren't good enough for England but they have made their point.

As for the style of English football I would like to add my piece. England will never play the great posession football of Spain or with the flair of Brazil. It's just not in our culture. However that doesn't mean we can't be successful with our own style. I think England should take a leaf out of Germany's book from the last world cup. They knew they had inferior quality to a team like Argentina but they played a very patient and disciplined game and punished the argies on the counter attack. Now look at England. They have some perfect players for this style of football. Players like Walcott, Lennon and Young with bags of pace and forwards who we know can score goals. Germany world cup 2010 should be a blueprint for the future success of English football.
Delighted for Scott Parker to finally get a call up by Capello for his 4th cap. This guy should have over 50 caps and he would if he played for one of the big 4 teams. Hopefully now Capello will realise Parker is a much better option than Barry. If he'd gone for Parker instead of Barry in the world cup I honestly think England would have gone further.
+1
poor england ;(
DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA TO WHAT HAPPENED TO WALCOTT'S EYE ?? WHAT DID HE EXACTLY SUFFER ???
it wasn't exactly his eye, just near it.. the defender's fingernail probably caught him as he (walcott) tried to get by him to make the cross.. take a look and you'll see the danish defender's arm fly across walcott's face; must've cut him then....
o thanx... thought must have been somethin serious like a globe perforation or something..
denmark are a decent team but nowhere in the same league as spain, argentina, etc. sadly for england, the media and the hype surrounding the premiership delude the general public into thinking that their national team is also in the same league as the teams mentioned above, but they are not.... here is the top tier of the footballing elite - brazil, italy, germany - teams that have pedigree and won enough trophies... the 2nd tier - argentina, spain, holland, etc.. teams that haven't won enough trophies, but you can bet on going far in tournaments.. and then, finally, you have the 3rd tier of 'decent' teams like england, denmark, croatia, russia, etc.. but it's always funny how england is somehow catapulted into that 1st elite group
ashley young best english winger! i am sorry but i take him over lennon and walcott and wright phillips. he has the total package, freekicks, crossing, technique, skils, pace, finishing, accurate passes! If not for nani i would take him as the best winger in the epl!!
Bale??

ENGLAND JUST NEVER CONVINCE ME
O:28 Walcott: 'FFS'
wow as a dane i am not proud to say that bendnter is s**t. ever since he wanted a raise from arsenal i've lost so much respect for him..
But Christian Eriksen man of the match!! and hes only 18!! hope he'll come to barclays or la liga to play with the the best players in the game, we really need that in the danish squad.
England have enough talents, but they somehow can not put them together in big stages like Euro or World cups...
talent? get real; they're over-hyped.. denmark are a decent team but nowhere in the same league as spain, argentina, etc. sadly for england, the media and the hype surrounding the premiership delude the general public into thinking that their national team is also in the same league as the teams mentioned above, but they are not.... here is the top tier of the footballing elite - brazil, italy, germany - teams that have pedigree and won enough trophies... the 2nd tier - argentina, spain, holland, etc.. teams that haven't won enough trophies, but you can bet on going far in tournaments.. and then, finally, you have the 3rd tier of 'decent' teams like england, denmark, croatia, russia, etc.. but it's always funny how england is somehow catapulted into that 1st elite group
