It looked to me like Freidel was unsighted by his own player on the freekick. The angle the ball passes the man on the wall would have made the ball seem to fly out of nowhere, and was hit too hard for him to make up ground.

great game, all credit to crystal palace they showed no fear against premiership opposition, and could have easily won this game.
some cracking goals, well the free kick was well struck, but i was very surprised it beat freidel, but i think the power surprised him.
they have to do it all again, and i just hope the replays as good a game as this one.

Yeah i agree it was a good game, and on the ballance of play a draw was a fair result. The stunning free kick by Darren Ambrose should of sealed the match for Palace, but we let Villa score near the end. The Eagles will find the replay at Villa Park tough, and Palace will do their best to upset the odds?

The cash generated from the cup run will be of great help to Palace's financial plight, but the most importaint thing is that the club exit administration and a buyer is found? Also they have a fight to stay in the Championship?
