Few days after this...another win for Real madrid lmao

How are they embarrassed really? The diving in this fixture has now become what it is famous for. Alba you soft little s**t.

the feared nigerian team of 90,s, was using a 4.3.3 formation taught by a dutch clemens westerhof, nigerian coach stephen keshi a student and player of westerhof, reverted to the system and they have won the afcon, they completely dominated the catalunya team full of barca players before the cup of nations, if they dont fire keshi, they could win the coming world cup!
is it a coincidence that barca play like ajax formation when they were unbeatable in late 90,s,4.3.3 without pure strikers, louis van gaal was ajax coach, went to barca, guess who was his understudy while there jose mourinho!, 4.3.3 is the most fluid formation,it can turn to a 3.5.2 which brazil used to perfection or 4.5.1 of france world cup winning group.it can flip to all this within and more systems, within 90 minutes depending on the players you have, but most efficient when you have one above average attacking midfielder like messi,cr7 or zidane who is centre of distribution.
Do you remember what I said about the weak central defense?
lottttaaa diving..... on both sides.

good for varane though!

I have always argued about this and I will say it again. Barcelona can't keep playing their game every moment of every match regardless of what the score is. Barca tries to score even when they don't need to and know what the other team is trying to do.

Case in point: During last year's UCL group game vs Milan at San Siro, Barca went down by a goal from Pato in the first minute of the game. They fought back and scored 2 and were in control when in the 89th minute Valdes decides to launch the ball up for Pedro for a counter attack. No team who's winning does that. Pedro loses the ball, Milan kick in back into Barca's box and a goal is scored by Silva from the resulting corner.

Barca were up 1 away goal vs Madrid. They knew very well what Madrid would be trying to do - a strategy that has worked with many teams in the recent past. I told my buddies that Barca should try to bring Madrid out of their pocket instead of ramming against a wall of 9 men in the center of the field. But no, they played right into Madrid's plan because they have to continue proving that they are the best. Sometimes being the best doesn't mean you just play your style regardless of the strength of the opponent but rather play to their weaknesses.

I think Barca is missing their coach but lacking creativity. All great teams eventually get found out because opponents are more aware of their playing style and bring their A game whenever they face them. Barca is going through that phase. Its time they rethink their strategy and start playing games as they come.

And ya, this summer please buy a CB. Its been due for about 2 years now.

But isn't that the antifoodball you fans hate?
+1
@Janco you dont get the sense ...listen to what @Franky4fingers is saying ... barca NOT the "fans". Geez you got the "pepe" on you boy !
I understand perfectly what he is saying. Incredibly he makes a lot of sense.
However, last year when Chelsea defended their result at Camp Nou (1:0 from the first leg) with 11 people in deference, when they didn't attack and were focused on staying alive in 90 min, you fans were pissed off at the anti football and parking the bus tactics.
Now Franky is expressing a sudden desire for that bus. At least as long as they pulled Madrid out of it's pocket.

Times they are a changin huh?
+3
Nowhere in that post did he say to play the shitty soccer that Chelsea played or park the bus. It is just not true.
He simply suggested that there is no need to attack for 90min and I totally agree.

I can make you a drawing if you still don't get it ;)

Oh the trololololo is back...
Read it again. The penultimate sentence if I may suggest. I'm not disagreeing with what is he is saying. I'm just questioning the irony of his desire. It's an interesting graduation from the total attacking football that their fans (Franky included) desire.
And how else would you play to get Madrid out of their shell? Pass and pass and pass in the middle? Didn't work.
+2
Janco: I'm not sure how you assumed I'm asking them to park the bus. Barcelona players do not know how to park the bus. So even if someone wants them to do that, they will not be able to do it.

How to get Madrid out of their shell? Barcelona plays an extremely high line when it holds the ball. That exposes their back most of the time. Puyol and Pique are generally very good at reading such situations but at times it fails especially with Puyol not exactly at the height of his defending powers. So what I'm essentially suggesting is that Barcelona avoid playing their fullbacks so high up.

The fact is when you have an away goal, the sense of urgency lies with the visiting side. Barcelona never let Madrid feel that sense of urgency which could have resulted in panic. Madrid is probably the best at counter attacking football but like most Mourinho teams quite average when it comes to creative football (which is why I feel Kaka doesn't fit into Mourinho's system). When they played with taller and quicker (than Barca) teams like Bayern and Dortmund, it was clearly visible holding the ball doesn't necessarily turn into opportunities for Madrid.

Wow some1 is crying @ Janco why waste ur time trying to explain some to crying babies.
Yellow tape everywhere at Nou Camp
+1
@Janco - I am not suggesting how you should play against Madrid. I am simply stating the obvious...he never said to park the bus. That is a fact.

Too long! Did not read...

I completely agree Franky. We have had great success with our philosophy and tactics before, but we need to keep innovating in small ways. Tito's best new gift for us this season was his ability to cope with 'parking the bus' teams and other defensive styles that have been proven successful against us. He made us play a quicker style, more cutting, more direct. But it was completely, and I mean completely the opposite against Milan (and Madrid in the Copa). We reverted back to Pep's eternal possession game, which is slow, contrary to popular belief quite rigid if the opposition defends well, and easy to defend against.
^
We saw that tactics on the Bernabeu and still didn't work. Playing high on the field leaves you vulnerable to fast attacks. So there goes the theory.
The barca players are exhausted, the answer is playing around somebody else probably villa, as they let messi, puyol and iniesta rest, but can they bite the bullet!
Barca had no confidence and no plan B. They should have learnt from the Bayern game. I think Barca's assistant coach needs some more support. RM are so dangerous every time they break because they conserve energy looking for a counter where as Barca waste all that energy passing and running then they just lose the ball and track back.
and the pedro penalty shout was ridiculous footballers should get a fine every time they dive

dude, u have suarez as your profile picture.....

^Well said!
ha ha
Lolololololololol
wow.. yes please lets make this about suarez cause he so heavily influenced el classico....

Sure Suarez has dived but at least hes trying to change his ways(and more importantly the club and manager are trying to change his ways to suit our CULTURE!).....been watching Barcelona do the same dives for the past five years. If anything they're getting WORSE! and the way they all sprint to the Referee once the penalty's been given, been watching them do that for the last five years too. Thats why I've never had that much respect for Barca, sure they play nice football and supposedly show humility but the team collectively fails to respect the rules of our game.
Barca sure plays very good football but the culture they advocate is filthy.

you talk like suarez talks on the pitch
i think Barca are keeping too much faith in Puyol don't get me wrong he is a great player but they need somebody younger to join pique at cb look at verane hes 20 and an amazing prospect hes got pace and power and can trow in a great last ditch slide in the box and time it perfectly
Man oh man. In the battle between the two I have always been a barca fan, and I honestly dislike Real Madrid. But this game, wow, i'm glad barca lost. Barca was the better team, they had better control more chances and Madrid was basically playing the counter attack game, but wow, Barca just lost their heads. If they had played a little smarter and maybe not cry so much all game they might have had a better score. Every time someone got close they fell. The ref was right. I still hate Madrid though.
+1
If Barca was the actually the better team, they would have won.
+3
better teams dont always win ...
+2
ITenzo do you honestly think that Barca were the better team? Are your expectations of Barca so low now? Your team managed only a couple of half decent chances in the game and you can honestly think that?
