lol puyol leaves the other team captain hanging during the hand-shake. Anyway as expected from barca, win. but the score should have been 4-0 because pedro was fouled and should have gotten a pk.
I wonder if Guardiola extended contract? And if neither of which the club goes.
Barca are in top gear now.....
Good to see if their is match between chelsea and barca
Really.... the scores should not be posted, all the fun of watching the highlight is gone
turn spoilers off on top right
Barca are the team to beat in all this compition.
why in these spanish games is the final score always posted above the video? some of us haven't seen the game or the score yet, that's why we come here. it pisses me off. Do you like hearing how a movie will end before you see it?
you can take off spoilers at the top-right of the window bro so you don't see the score...
Barca are not in top gear yet but are still playing brilliantly. Would really hope to see the current Arsenal side mature into a side like them.
nice goal by messi, but rooney is a better striker than messi.
no way in hell
umm...yea...that make sense...messi isnt a STRIKER persay:P...
on what planet?
messi is a winger or like a centre-attacking mid type player...if you think messi is better as an out and out striker like rooney...go see the current argentina games where he's useless because of his positioning and his position in relation to his teammates...maradona puts him on the wing of behind the strikers and argentina will do A MILLLLLIIIIIOOOONNNNN times better...cause they usually play some 4-4-2 based formation
as a player though...no discussion...not even...no topic:P
Messi can most certainly be considered a striker
personally...i think i should have said that first...personally i think a STRIKER is some sort of target man that is the top man and main focal point of attack whose main objectives is the score goals and be a target man which others can play off of...the main point i look at is that they are the top-man...focal point of attack...the spearhead...

personally by that relatively crap but somewhat correct definition...messi doesn't play as a striker
sometimes he is the focal oint of the attack, sometimes he isn't. As with pretty much every player in barca, his position is complicated and has all sorts of facets. This way he can contribute way more than just waiting for a pass. Its just the Barca style of play, its different and effective as f**k!!

So in my eyes, he can definitely be considered a striker. maybe not a true striker but he is, he Definitely is a leader in the attack alot of the time.
But as we know, every attack is purely a team effort.
yea i see what you mean...the word you said though that i wanted to stress was "sometimes"...rooney ALWAYS is at that position or the team plays him and sees his as the striker...so i would say messi isn't one of those out and out strikers, and more as a winger who has more freedom to be creative in attack rather than think strictly goal first (ie. eto'o's style)...

but yes hahah barca has a style that can only be replicated about 10 years from now (the earliest you'll see another team adopt this style to a tee)...and thats according to if a team fully devotes itself to the style and practicing the HELL out of it and they won't even see any real resemblence till about 10 years or running that style and mentality

barca is a unique bunch and we ALL...man, woman, child, animal...should be proud to live in a day and age where a team like this exists
lmao shanki r u an idiot or just trying to be funny?
watchin this video again, i notice that for the last attempt at goal with messi & bojan(what a great pass)

messi had pedro on his radar, but he chose to do it himself. If he passed it to pedro, 4-1 guarranteed

I guess its not a big deal really, 3-1 is a nice score line, but I hope this isn't a sign that we are getting a little selfish here, that will be our down fall.
selfless play is the one huge reason for our success

now i love messi, he's my faves, but when u miss a pass like that to pedro, ur just sacrificing a chance.
we all know messi is not a selfish player by any means, but you know, maybe all this attention is getting to him, i sincerely hope not
during a game..im as unselfish as they come...but the situation you're talking about...messi had his head down surrounded by 3/4 players including the goalie in a REAL tight spot... if i was in that sitch i doubt passing would even come across my mind plus i doubt messi knew he was there or he would have sent a 1 touch pass but pedro wasnt even in position to get an advantage out of it...

thats one of those situations you can't judge a player on by instinct...yes messi has shown more selfish tendencies this year but thats definitely not one of them to be extremely concerned about...im just saying...
exactly why u look up. Yea your kinda right tho i aint gonna discredit ur opinion, but part of the barca success is in their style of play, which calls for the the player to find the other. None of these players have tunnle vision. but yes, the heat of the moment situation is a hard one.
either way I oly say that becuase we've all seen him look up and make diamond passes from similar situations.

So in the end, I do not think I am asking to much of Messi if I say he should look up, he set the standad for himself with his immense talent, I'll bet u Guardiola gave him a little lip for not looking up.

I'm not too concerned about messi, but you know what, money and fame is a tough f****n factor in a players life...look a at ronaldinho
true...very true...and yes i think money and fame is slightly getting to him...but i think the main factor thats grounded messi is that barca paid for his growth hormone therapy...im sure for messi and with his (assumed) perception of soccer...thats like being in a life-critical situation being on the brink of death and then someone coming to save you....

not that barca forced it on him...its that messi will want to repay barca for that...as in give them the respect that they gave him...which is a LARGE amount of respect
Exactly. So he's definitely sticking with this diamond of a club for life I'm sure, which is great! But I just hope he doesn't become selfish, I'm almost certain he won't, it is largely uncharacteristic of our beloved Messi.

I Know messi is the best in the world, i just don't want him to be like CR and say it himself, ya dig? Thats one thing i love about Messi, He is as humble as they come.
BARCA WILL WIN!
knock on wood
The Final against Estudiantes will be interesting. The absence of Iniesta is quite the blow to the team, however there is enough talent to somewhat supply for his loss. Estudiantes are a good squad, they play with a lot of heart... never underestimate the power of the under-dog.
Barça has the capacity to take it home, but this is the elusive title for 'em, so hopefully tomorrow they can make history. Probably Keita will be on the left, or Henry, placing Yaya in the middle with Sergi and Xavi. Zlatan and Messi complete the attack... I just cautiously wait and hope... FORÇA BARÇA!!!!
I love seeing Messi, Ibrahimovic, Pedro, and Bojan on the pitch at once.
iniesta injury is a big blow the midfield will nt b the same xavi is at his best when iniesta is there just hope he can come bk soonest
If yaya plays then we might be great, but it is a big blow
it is a big blow... Pep will probably align Keita on the left as usual...
We keep giving up these early goals, which is not good. But I have nothing to complain about, we give the other team a chance to get on the scoreboard in the first few, but the rest is ours. I love the confidence in the young players we have, and once again Pedro is making his name heard. I wish we had played a better mexican team like Monterey or Toluca. Then we could have really seen the Mexican game. Great game Barca
stop saying ''we'' like you're a manager or something.
no body give a PhuK what you saying

fuk Barca, fuk iniesta, fuk ibra fuk them all.

messi come to man utd , leave this pathetic club
just goes to show how much you know about football. Anyone who watches barca play, and that knows even the slightest bit about football would say that the entire team is incredible.

You are just hating. Grow up. i got respect for your club, they play rather beautifuly
the minute anyone says "f**k iniesta" or "f**k ibra", you know it they have no clue what they are talkin about, and shouldn't be given the time of day .

and if u you look at barca's record, they are anything but pathetic, just from watching them play, s**t i shouldn't even have to tell you this. i shouldn't even be responding to this comment, but 2 dimensional people like yourself really grind my gears.

messi is a perminant part of this club, he was raised by barca, he will retire with barca.

your mother should've swallowed you.

the end.
Hahaha Cantona... s**t club? uhm, I'm not sure you heard this quote before but I'll remind you "When in Rome, do as the Catalans" 2-0 on your club.

and yeah Chaconche Valdez really seems like he's sleeping for the first few minutes every game

OUR team is better and WE will be treble champs again
Cantona07... what business do you have even commenting here?? its not like Man U is playing... right because this is the Club World cup... where only the champions of each region play... ohh you poor little boy, you are just sour because Man U could have been playing, if the s**t blaugrana team would have NOT beaten the crap out of your team at the Champions final... pity. NOW, seriously... if you had a bad day at work or whatever... dont post crap without thinking ok?? just shut up and take it like a man.
Iniesta! god damn it INIESTA! I can't believe how you play... it's almost better than sex.
I love ^ Comment

Chaconche, Bro I love you as much as all of my Barca brothers but "almost better than sex" you gotta be kidding me the only thing better than sex is having sex WHILE watching Barca play. Come on man pull yourself together. LOL
