FOR VALENCIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
overall a tough game for manchester united. but i think that they had most of the chances. so happy to see rooney scoring. hope he keeps scoring
It was a hard game for Man United to win this game, solely because how well Rangers defended, they had their heart set out to defend and they it for a long while.

But Man U bossed possession, and created many chances. To say Rangers was unlucky is rather silly, as MUFC1990 clearly stating that Man U were denied a stonewall penalty in the first two minutes of the game. If it was allowed the game could have been completely different.

I would say it was an average performance, we're still not quite there with the finishing but it was nice to see we were creating more opportunities. Fabio is turning out to be a right little gem, great vision and good with the ball.

that may be but its hard to attack a team that was playing ultra defensive. they should of been playing more attacking football if they wanted CPL
To hear the British Commentators, pundits and press talk about Rooney, you'd think he saved the world from nuclear destruction.
It was a bloody penalty, wait for him to do something decent at least.
Finally Rooney gets some points on DF again! Hellz yeah!
How many points does he have?
Hey, is it true that Juventus interests in exchange for Berbatov and Amauri?
So not worth it for Manchester, I find it hard to believe they would go for it.
Seriously, what's the point of these extra officials if they're too afraid to raise their flags. Clear foul against Berbs. May as well have a clown making animal balloons standing there for all the good it does.

Wait to go Rooney, celebrating on a PK...not a real goal

no arsenal player scored though =S stop bashing other players and teams we as arsenal fans are in noo position to do so

Whatever man, Rooney has been through alot lately. He needed this goal, even if it is a PK, to get back his confidence...

Way to go Wayne...

wasn't wenger pissed that a penalty wasnt given to arsenal?
a winning goal is a winning goal
I love MAN UTD and i even love them more when i remember that they didn't lose any game in any competition from the begging of the season!!!

Against Wigan Rafael played really well. In this match Fabio played pretty impressive. Imagine in couples of season two brothers making all sort of problems to oppositions from both side of the field?
mmmmm...De Boer much?
Good to see Rooney back in action...but glad we were able to capture 3 points and not a draw, so tired of em haha.
Bit of a mixed reaction towards this game so ill start with the negatives.

Were still not firing on all cylinders, were just missing that final killer instinct, of course we have a Rooney who is refinding his form and the absence of Valencia is certainly showing given time we may refind it, or maybe well invest in a new playmaker soon (although unlikely).

Johnny Evans was sloppy again im really getting tired of it now.

Ok the positives, firstly were still unbeaten regardless of some painful draws this season, secondly Rafael and Fabio are both looking really good, theyve got me really excited for our future full backs :D, also although Obertan didnt play this game im really enjoying his performances aswell not to mention Hernandez i think weve got some great prospects for the future.

Chris Smalling put in a solid display has calmed my nerves about him being the potential succesor to Ferdinand.

Fabio man of the match for me.

Rooneys celebration proves his passion for the club, for those who say hes a money whore and that hes not loyal are dead wrong, Rooney had concerns over the future investment in the squad the same concerns that the mass majority of United fans have he shook the Glazers and let them know what he thinks of them, people should remember he was concerned for the future of United and concern is not a bad thing.

Good to have Wayne back...need to see Man Utd in the next round.
I've always been a critic about our defenders... Johnny Evans is a perfect example of why I am! Very good comment, MUFC1990, thanks for sharing!
i think most of us would agree if 'unlucky' vote is added because we have 'lucky' vote. it seems unfair because some team played beautifully but was unlucky to lose including this game between rangers and manU
I support this.
lol rangers played beautifully and deserved to win? what kind of siht is that? did you watch the game?? they defended the entire time
still. man u is unbeateable
It's always difficult to break down a team with 5 men back. But I think both teams played great and it's unfortunate for Rangers to give away the penalty in the end. A deserved victory for United.
