Stop predicting based on dominate possession, shots on goal, all that is EA SPORTS stupid stats talk. Why are people here so ignorant to not understand the importance of Defense in FOOTBALL. A team that can defend like how AC Milan did and counter to score is just amazing. This is real world football, if you cant score you don't win. Coaches dont sit and ask for 60% possession and a draw? Barca did not make it against Inter and here they would not have scored if that penalty would not have been given.

In every later stage game Barca are given unbelievable partial calls. Good I am not a Barca fan, I would be ashamed at how star players cant do anything in big games.
+2

1) Milan took more risks by pressing high. Payed of with that great on play goal, but gave barcelona more space to move the ball and dominate possesion
2) Two penalties were justifiably awarded to Barcelona. One more controversial than the other. By virtue of the rules of a game, the fact that a blatant pull of a shirt is not usually awarded does not mean that it ceases to be a justifiable penalty awarded fouled Busquets theatrics help concede it? Of course! Foul none the less.
3)Barcelona's finishing was disappointing. Messi, Thiago, and Fabregas should of had goals but you have to give kudos to Milan's defense. But if Barcelona wants to keep being relevant, the MESSIDEPENDENCIA needs to stop.
He has scored over 1/3 of the goals barcelona has scored this season. The rest of the strikers need to be more industrious and more clinical as well.
4) Mascherano had a mental lapse. He could of easily blocked Nocerinos shot had he only slided.

I would like to add something.
I chose not to comment on this game with the usual punctuality that characterizes my posts. I wanted to have the pro and anti barcelonistas vent their meaningless vitriol so that it would then open the room for a possible critical eye on this game. But I was disappointed. With the exception of a few posts, I hardly found any post that was engaging and didn't sound like a rant. All of them had to justify their utter disdain for the calls made in this game, past games and those future ones that await any game involving Barcelona.

Good Game.

great use of vocabulary. your smart. not like other barca fans

I didnt mind Barcelona before, but after this game and after ppl try to justify a bought game, now I really dislike this team(which could be the greatest ever).... this looks too much like juventus 6 years ago.... i hope they get same punishment.

Im sorry for being a hater, but as a neutral this game was terrible to watch, nothing close to the best game of this season i was expecting.

NPO- rare huh?
Deserved win. Should have been 2-1, though. On that second penalty the ref must have lost his contact lenses.
I think if the second penalty hadn't been given, AC Milan would have played ultra defensively like they had been and won. They had to go to an attacking formation because of that penalty and lost that last goal. Referees definitely influenced the game
soccerfaithful- no he just dropped his wallet...
wtf?? how was Milan amazing?? they were rubbish, they didnt shot more than 3 x !!!
its clear who voted, Real fans, Chelsea fans who are afaraid to facing Barca next round.
it doesnt matter in which way Barca will win a match, the haters will allways say the same : Refree, Fifa, Uefa, Obama, Tsunami bla bla
f**k YOU ALL and FORCA BARCA
Does Obama even give a s*** about football ? he's american
+1
Obama? Tsunami? Obviously Milan had a plan to get the goal and shut Barca out which they were doing until the referee made a mistake. This led them to play an attacking formation which exposed their defence... Referees influenced the results and Barca fans should not be proud of this win
albabily- you 12?
Isn't it interesting that people forgot to mention these things:

Against Chelsea: *Barca should have had 2 penalties in the 1st leg. *Abidal was sent off after Anelka dived, with Abidal being nowhere near him

Inter: *Milito scored an off-side goal. *Barca didn't get a penalty when Sneijder tripped Alves. *Motta DID slap Busquets, no matter how much Busquets play-acted, and he was already on a yellow card so he should have been sent off anyway. *Barca were wrongly disallowed a goal by Bojan at the end.

Arsenal: *Barca were disallowed a goal in the first leg as an offside, even though it was perfectly onside. *at the second leg, Van Persie intentionally hit Alves's face with his elbow and should have been sent off EARLIER. Barca didn't get a clear penalty after Djourou's foul. *Somehow Koscielny wasn't shown a second yellow when he conceded the penalty

Even in the last CL Final Man Utd scored a goal that was assisted from an off-side position but no one cared, only because it wasn't Barca who scored the off-side goal!!!
I don't get why you even try to convince people that the refs are actually against barça...
Well can you prove my points wrong then?
+2
because people like you are idiots
convincing idiots is never an easy thing
+1
@ crazyfabregas

if you dont have arguments, just shut the f**k up.
Because every body can say "you are an idiot" to another guy.
No one have ever had valid arguments to prove these things wrong. They just ignore them and only remember those ref calls that have gone Barca's way, just because they hate Barca, or are jealous.
youre both idiots and i dont want to waste my time

go debate the obvious with your other barca friends, i dont hve time for this s**t
+2
So you can't prove me wrong and call me an idiot? You doesn't seem too clever Crazyfabregas. Usually intelligent people are able to justify their opinions...
Your grammar doesn't help either Mattti (troll face)
sorry just had to comment "antifutbol" perfect name for a barca fan....
Look why don't all these non barca fans just get of their high horses, and stop acting like there teams are perfect, and than barca are the villein team. Like it's a good vs evil between all the other teams and barca. Grow up, and try be sensible, barca where the better team over the two legs and deserved to go through, if milan had of gone through on their performances over the two legs people would be saying barca deserved to go through, they where the better team. But when one decision goes in barca favor everyone jumps on the uefalona bandwagon. Regardless of it being a soft penalty, it could still be called as a penalty, barca have had decisions go against them, many times.
TRUTH: Barcelona has been the victim of poor refereeing decisions as much as they have benefited from them.
TRUTH: Barcelona is arguably the best overall team in the game right now.
TRUTH: Barcelona players go down easier than sixth grade sluts.

Fact of the matter is, as talented as they are - and I truly am in awe of them - the way they go down and hound referees is annoying. I'm not accusing them of diving (only Busquets does that), but for the most part Barcelona players go down after minimal contact and then harass the referee. It's the nature of their game. All you fanboys don't come attacking me I already said they're the best team in the game, but if you're going to defend their antics then you should be ashamed.
+10
At least when Barca go down they're not trying to get penalties most of the times they are in the middle of the park when they go down, Do you even see how Madrid players Dive around in their opponents 18 yard box, nobody dives around like the Madrid player.
+2
RVPMVP Well said, I agree with everything EXCEPT for one thing, do you really think that we hound the ref anymore than any other team that believes they have had a call go against them unjustly? See Real for example...our protests are no more intense than theirs certainly
+1
seems to be a spanish thing then....
+2
there was a time when Manu was the most hated team, now that they are not doing good and Barca is dominating and beating more and more teams, slowly all teams are going against us. Wrong calls are sometimes made and as fans no matter how hard it maybe we should accept them. simple. calls definitely go against us as well but somehow our club and its teachings have made most fans similar. not complaining. BUT yeah some people cant stand it. I can understand it. But i would just request you guys to be respectful we are all fans of the greatest game, mutual respect has to be there. Thanks.
+1
Barca has the worst defense in the world, just that their midfield is strong and messi in their attack.Defense is really vulnerable for barca,we saw that in Milan.Cmon you blues, show us how u kill the giants!!!
I really want Chelsea to win but we all know that it will be Chelsea vs the Referees again. If Chelsea bring back the cluster defense they used with Mourinho, as the coach, then they may actually win it.
love all the barca fraud fans.
Fake! Hope Real Madrid, Bayern or Chelsea win UCL

No one ever will...
If you don't want penalties given, then you shouldn't foul inside the box.
+11
HAHAHAHAH cuz its that black and white!? You are ridiculous, cmon. Whoever +1'd that needs to watch more football. Referee's will continue to make both good and bad calls regardless of whether or not it is deserving.
But by your rational, every penalty that was ever given was the right call because it was a foul inside the box. Applause.

numskull

A
mamor thats not at all what he's saying. He's pointing out that a foul in the box is a penalty. because apparently some people are able to look past the legitimacy of a penalty when Barcelona gets it.
More like if Barcelona fall in the box automatically is a penalty without a doubt.
