Still not sure about all the Chelsea hate.

No doubt Abramovich's money has helped the club obtain some measure of success.

But even before Abramovich bought the club.

1996-1997: 6th in Premierleague, FA Cup Winners.
1997-1998: 4th in Premierleague, UEFA Cup Winners Cup Winners, League Cup Winners.
1998-1999: 3rd in Premierleague, UEFA Super Cup Winners, QuarterFinals or better in all other cup competitions.
1999-2000: 5th in Premierleague, FA Cup Winners, Champions League Quarter-Finals.
2000-2001: 6th in Premierleague, FA Charity Shield Winners
2001-2002: 6th in Premierleague, FA Cup Runners up, League Cup Semi finals.
2002-2003: 4th in Premierleague, FA Cup Quarter Finals (lost to winners Arsenal in a replay).

Hardly an underachieving club.

They were always pretty decent, Abramovich just gave them an extra push.
Man City for example finished 14th in 06/07 , 9th in 07/08 and 10th in 08/09...

dude no s**t, Torres never deserved a starting place, under AvB, di Matteo or Benitez. but Abramovich always forced it, hes not suddenly going to stop, its even part of the reason why he hired Benitez

Stop complaining about torres. He put him in that game, because benitez obviously cares more about the premier league title. So he saved Demba Ba for the game on saturday.

Even if that were true and Ba is the first choice striker, and Abramovich doesnt exist. That Benitez didnt call it a transition year and say himself that the cups were more important. Then it still isnt justification for a 50mill quid striker to play like s**t...

ABRAMOVICH. ABRAMOVICH SPENT 50MILL AND WANTS TORRES TO START EVERY GAME, EVER SINCE HE BOUGHT HIM, NOTHING NEW. CL LAST YEAR DI MATTEO PLAYED DROGBA EVERYONE WAS CALLING IT A HUGE GAMBLE FOR HIS JOB. BENITEZ HIRED PARTLY IN HOPES HE COULD GET TORRES TO SCORE. STURRIDGE -> DEMBA BA DOESNT SUDDENLY CHANGE EVERYTHING. GODDAMN WHY IS EVERYONE ASKING THIS.

why not play ba and torres together up front? It is possible to play more than 1 striker!

how bad was ivanovic? he's usually a rock. To be fair, Every player has bad games.

michu is so deadly. Im expecting a bid from city or chelsea in the summer.£30m price tag no doubt. I would have him at united but we are full to the brim with forwards.

because chelsea wants to become some kind of passing team. they had a good thing going previous years. kick the ball make drogba run, they should just do that again. but they have bought so many playmakers for so much money (hazard, oscar, mata) they dont wanna stick there foots in there mouths...although they are. sell torres make Ba run ez and effective.

what's wrong with the number of playmakers they have? just means they play a different style, 1 striker is a better system for them regarding players they have...torres is a waste of a position on the field for them

its a system they clearly dont knw how to use. man whats wrong with peoples reading comprehention these days its annoying. nothing is wrong with buying playmakers but when ur 50 million striker cant tell his ass from his head its time to go back to the old ways. but chelsea cant they have invested way too much in small unphysical players. now they gotta hope Ba can turn silver into gold. which more then likely he can but at the cost of what? more then 90 million and feeling silly about there purchases. hazard was sexy his first couple games but i havent heard him impacting lately oscar isnt consistent and mata cant do it on his own. so again kick the ball to ba and make him run. who is good at the long ball? lampard but chelsea for some reason wants to sell its club legend which to me is ridiculous. look what happened to arsenal when they sold henry. fools all of u!
