I'm a Brazil supporter but I think that deep down I wanted them to lose so this coach could get fired. Unless Kaka , Marcelo , Nilmar , Hulk, Bastos , Ronaldinho changed nationalities . How is it possible to not have them on the roster? Ok, fine Kaka and Ronaldinho haven't been the same for a couple of years now, but they are still great players! If that's the case , how can Hulk, Bastos & Marcelo be out of the squad?? They had Terrific seasons it doesn't add up! What's even less logical is how the F^ck is Andre Santos in the team let alone in the starting Eleven? Ever since Menezes became manager I've seen this kid play and it took him about 10 International games for something positive to come out of his performance which was a beautiful cross for Pato. Atleast when Dunga was in charge we played and if it wasn't for Felipe Melo and Cesar's misjudgements we would've won against the Dutch and who knows even the WC.
Days of the football superpowers are over. Anyone can beat anyone nowadays.

if you can't win from paraguay with a team like brazil, you played rubbish..
Imagine a little retarded & handicapped kid beat you badly in a competition, would you complain afterwards for not being complemented for your effort?

paraguay ain't no handicapped and retarded kid. they were second or third i believe on the world cup qualifiers last year. it's obvious that brazil just didn't practice penalty shots because they were over confident and thought that they would win on regular time.
Brazil played well overall, but the luck was not with them... Their mentality was not there to win.. Lucky Paraguay!

if you ask me, this game was rigged. No fu&king way brazil missed 4 penalty shots. No way Neymar sucked like he did.
Compare the Brazil penalties with Paraguay's one. My God! Paraguay shots had POWER!!
If they had Alex, Kaka, Marcelo and Anderson were playing, they wouldn't have missed those penalties. Instead they used so no name losers that can't even hit it on target.
what i loved is how andré santos pointed at the grass after he missed. i'm not sure if he was blaming an ant or a grasshopper
lol... The idiot tried to kick the ball in after it was blocked.

oh my god.. the penalties. I see the ground wasn't good.. but really the Brazil penalties were neither. Fred putting the last was awful.

I was honestly looking and thinking many times I'd just hit it with straight run full power, and Freds gonna do it now with long speed, but not he just walked to the spot. Horrible.
C'mon guys, Brasil didn't play that rubbish. Alright, implying you saw only a 2-minute-long highlight reel with 4 missed penalties it was rubbish. But if you saw the full game you gotta admit they dominated Paraguay the whole game and lost to an opponent not even worth to reach the semi-finales. Okay, Justo Villar was great and contributed tremendous saves just like Muslera against Argentina. But after all it is hard to understand how Brasil could miss all these chances.

So what are the conclusions that have to be drawn after the two big favorites are eliminated? At first I don't see any real advancements in the game of teams like Paraguay, Chile or Venezuela. They mostly benefit from the class of 2 or 3 players in their team like Vidal and Sanchez (Chile) Rondon and Miku (Venezuela) and the inability of their opponents. Uruguay and Colombia, accomplished it to cap more balanced squads, topped with stars like Cavani, Forlan and Suarez (Uruguay) and Falcao, Guarin and Zapata (Columbia). But the main conclusion and the reason for the elemination of Brasil as well as Argentina is due to the lack of both sides in establishing their own philosophy of playing football. I didn't see any real tactical concepts in their games and its obviously not enough to rely on their stars.
Brazil, all I can say is WOW. Kaka?? Marcelo?? did they change nationality and hence the coach ignored them. Then u uses fred and Lucas. This was self sabotage to the max. The penalty taking was atrocious, for christmas they sud buy 'How to take Penalties by Uruguay' on DVD.
I think it's interesting how much mood impacts Brazil...most countries have to worry about speed, technique, etc. but Brazil often needs minimal drama to play well- regardless of their individual skill.
