All of this just went too far; Irish politics which got involved, french politics, everybody having their opinions on things, even when they don't know football... wanna replay this match? lets replay thousands over then, world cup 2006 final, chelsea vs barcelona semi finals champions league last year... It's how it goes, plus, Ireland didn't get robbed so bad as justice was done for multiple penalties france were never awarded (especialy Evra's in the first leg in Ireland).
So let's stop calling everybody cheaters, and as Roy Keane pointed out, when Ireland went on to win 1-0 in extra time against georgia on an imaginary penalty, nothing was said. same for Itlay, which disqualified Australia in the 1/8s of the last world cup, and went on to win.
Just stop acting ridiculous
henry DID NOT CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually the one thing Blatter said that was true is that alot of players cheat. As much as I love TT his handball was deliberate. He knew exactly what he was doing especially on the second touch. But his indescretion was not the worse that I have seen. As far as I am concerned Blatter (no pun intended) is full of hot air he says he sees what the problem is so where are the solutions. If the referee has the final say during the match then jive him the proper tools to make the correct decisions. If we go into the world cup without extra officials at minimum or video replay then we will know that he really does not want to fix the problems.
Actually Henry did cheat. Using your hand in a game of football to your advantage when your not the goalkeeper is considered cheating. (and don't tell me he didn't do it on purpose, because he said in an interview the ball bounced of his arm and he couldn't do anything about it: he actually played the ball in with his hand, intentionally, and was more than happy with his assist when the goal was scored. It was a poor and hypocritical attempt to gather some sympathy.
Ok so he's saying the game is tainted but I do not hear him saying what he is going to do about all of the cheating. I also think he is being very disrespectful to be laughing about Irelands request. WTF!
He's not laughing at them though. He was indicating how hard it was for them to reject the request, seeing as how fair and polite Ireland's requests were.
Maybe you are right I don't know I think I'll get off his case when I see him make substantial changes to how FIFA will deal with all of this nonsense!
I heard Ireland is now asking to hold its own WC 2010, with the teams "unfairly disqualified" playing in it.
haha, this guy like to hear his own voice. Ireland should seriouly give up on this issues. You win some you lose some. Keane said it best you benefited in another game earlier so that meant you lost on this one get over it and move on. Play better next time and avoid playoffs.
Henry's hand of god II
