That evertonian listing all the injuries down there!! Everton would have still lost anyway. Benfica are a very strong side, I think they will at least get to the semis of the Europa league. They beat Liverpool only a few seasons ago so don't think i'm mocking you evertonians, i'm making a valid point. Although Everton will get thrashed by spurs in the carling cup!!!!
Well how about that loss to Spurs and Villa on the opening few matches? 6 losses in 7 matches? See now who is mocking at who now. Thrashed by Spurs? It's a 2-0, either you fail your pre-school maths or what, if 2-0 is a thrash, then how about Chelsea and Fiorentina thrash here, redshite?
very happy for benficas victory good news for their fans and all portugese continue the good work for portugal
la mauvaise saison d'everton continue...
d maria player 2 watch
Benfica have a great squad.. With important names up front.. Saviola, Aimar, Cordozo.. Very attacking team... Nice game for them..
Too bad for the injured Toffees...

Benfica have a GREAT squad, but I didn't expect this many goals..

Good to see Saviola playing...
LMAO and all you evertonians say distin is better than lescott LMFAO TOO FUNNY.
It's not about Distin, is about the number of players out injured. I have to agree Lescott is one good defender, but is he performing in Man City? I doubt so. AND you guys said Lescott is better than Dunne. Ha, funny. Dunne already scored 2 in 2 games from centre-back position.
Everton was crushed, respect Benfica
Wow that result was unexpected, what a poor performance by Everton, and what a brilliant game by Benfica
theres a diference between Benfica and Everton and that diference as a number and the number is 5
wow awesome Benfica, amazing goals!!
shame on you Everton... Bravo Benfica!
I knew that losing is inevitable, I sensed it, Benfica had a really strong team. Especially with us having injuries all over the place and players ineligible for play. Hibbert has to move from right back to the centre-back position and he is not comfortable with it.

For Redviking, your team didn't do very well too. Your team were beaten by a beach ball and Lyon too, so I sensed that fact that you was not happy and decided to vent the anger on your local rivals.

I expected a loss, not to the extent of a thrashing.

For people that is not sure that how Everton got beaten:

Players injured:

Yobo - Most solid centre-back in the team, 2nd captain after Neville
Anichebe - Everton Young player 07/08
Arteta - Best player 04/05, set-piece taker, rock of the midfield
Jagielka - Best defender 07/08
Neville - Captain
Pienaar - Creative source, versatile winger
Osman - Versatile midfield, the 3rd captain of the team

Players ineligible:

Heitinga - Versatile defender, assists well
Neill - Solid centre-back for Australia and Blackburn, captain of the Australian national team.

Worst injury crisis in 20 years if you ask me.
The important thing is,we can still qualify for the knockout stages.Liverpool fans mocking us,their season will be over by bonfire night!
Nice job blue noses!
Four straight defeats,you can't gloat.
I have always said that Di Maria is a great winger...I like the lad, hope to see him playing for a bigger European club one day!

Saviola had a rebirth in Benfica...long long overdue...he's a top class player
BENFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICA!!!!!!!!!!!......SLB! SLB! SLB! >>>>>GLORIOSO SLB!>>>>GLORIOSO SLB!!!!!!
