let me start by saying congratulation to benfica. the only reason im saing this is cause i dont want the league cup, so benfica could have it they've won it three time it must mean alot to them. on the last highligts porto had on footytube i had a long conversation with a fellow footytuber (PortoDragon) and in the very last paragraph in the last post i stated that its always good to win benfica (just to humiliate them in their own house) but i didnt want to win this game, i didnt want our starting line up to play from the start and didnt want this cup. i went as far to say that i wanted porto to lose but not by a lot only by one goal (which happened) so im happy.

some bad things in the game:
1.when i saw the nomination of the ref for this game i knew the porto was going to lose. im not sayin the ref favors benfica, what im sayin is this man hates porto and if he refs us against any other team he will always favor porto's opponent.
2.porto's defence (mostly mangala) was terrible. all three goals were his fault
3.the porto manager once again messes up everything. he must of seen that benfica was goin all out with there subs, placing in their attacking line up players (their font men) and what does victor do, puts in the same kind of players in attack which agrivated me. IF PORTO GOT SCORED ON TWICE CAUSE OF THE DEFFENCE YOU AS THE CAOCH PLACE IN MORE STICKERS? the same porto defender let cardozo pass and it was in. he should have placed in another defender for mangala if he really wanted to win the game as which he had said before.

some good things in this game:
1. my boy alex sandro showed everyone in portugal today why the hell porto payed 13 mil for him (he's a beast) he could have scored two or three goals by himself paasing through maxi and luisao like they were butter.
2.i loved to see alvaro and alex sandro on that left wing together, they created some great opportunities together great job. (one thing victor did good in this whole season, but its not like uruguay head coach hadn't done this before so how much credit can i give victor)
3.i liked to see iturbe play, but not 10 minutes. "dam victor why didnt u start the kid ur sooooooo asss bro."
4.im also glad none of the porto player got injured from this game or got a red which would jeopardize our next match.
5.aimar's freekick was great awesome goal it would have been

once again i want o congratulate benfica on goin through, they may go on to win the cup a fourth time consecutively (if braga has nothing to say about that.)

What manner of fan goes into a game wanting their team to lose? Acting like you didn't want to win the game when you know you would have been on here celebrating had your team won? Stop living in denial and accept defeat gracefully when your team lose to the better team on the day!

i did except defeat that is why i congratulated benfica but i can also say that all my friends who love benfica state that this cup is nothing it is unsignificant and all it does is make players tired and unfit for future/more important games. and the managers themselves dont care for this cup that is why they played with only 4 or 5 starters and the rest were all bench players.
now if this was the portuguese cup (taca de portugal) i would of been pissed off but its a league cup.
the league cup in portugal is 5 years old this year and it has no significance to any team in portugal (it is nowhere near as important to the teams and fans as the english league cup does). for example two weeks ago on a monday almost 48 thousand people in the stadium yesterday didnt even reach 25 thousand and for a classico thats nothing.
the cup has no prize (just the cup) and their is no prestige in winning it. if im not mistake like 2 years back benfica had some problems, i think it was with the dates for some of the games which conflicted with the champions league and league games (not to important cause all was resolved quite fast) and they went as far to say that they would never play in this cup again if the dates didnt change (and thats how interested they are of winning it themselves).
so once again i do except my lose but i also feel that porto doesnt want or need to win this cup. sorry
u mad bro? Write a few more thesis on porto and you will get your doctorate.
@Barcheint sorry to tell u i already got it
This cup was created for smaller teams to win so it's no surprise that LusoAmerican doesn't really care if Porto won or not. In fact our own President didn't really care, that's why ( along with the fact that we have a lot of injury's) that only 4 regular playing players started this game. Why riks any more injury's at such a crucial time in the league to have a chance at a cup that people refer to " THE BEER MUG". That being said even thought I have a soft spot for Sporting de Braga I'am glad that Gil Vicente is going to the final and if they end up winning than would be great because haven already beaten Sporting, Braga, Porto they really deserve it and after all that's why this tournament was created for teams like Gil. Plus Any team from the North is good with me :)
Looks like benifica did a Liverpool in this game. and what a neat finish by Cardozo.
Didn't catch the match but from the highlights I've seen it seemed like a real good game, Benefica hit the bar like twice which would have been amazing goals had they gone in, good thing Cardozo got the winner true goalscorer he is.
Very stupid highlights.
Very bad game for porto. The couldnt complete 10 passes in a row, couldnt be a real threat to Benfica's goal, the 2 goals were mere chance (deflection and a lucky header), Hulk was on another planet, the starting lineup was bullshit, final word: fire the manager.

Highlights and transmission of the game are a masterpiece from SIC, tv station that, toghether with abola and record treats FC Porto like a foreign team. It's quite the most partial you can get! If you don't turn the sound off, you can throw up or get critical nausea for 90m. I have no more words to describe Vitor Pereira choices. Lineup was very embarassing...

on my above comment didnt even want to get into the topic of passes. but i did have hulk in my must go list for the summer and u (Stealthnet) said that u wanted hulk to stay. the hulk from past season is gone and he will never return (in porto) that is why i want him to leave cause he can return to his old ways and porto can give more opportunities to players that will leave there blood and sweat on the field for that shirt
Hulk as a must-go? You do realize that there is a reason he has a ridiculous buy-out clause in his contract? He is a proper striker and losing him will not instantly cure whatever is ailing your team at the moment!! Be careful what you wish for!
i understand that its goin to be difficult (or close to impossible) to find some one to replace him. however he isnt playin with passion any longer and its ruining him and the opportunities that other players can have. and the buy out clause means nothing if he isnt the player that he used to be (for example torres cost 56 mil how much does he really cost now like 30 if that much).
my wish is for him to become like ronaldinho at his prime (cause they are both brazilian) and to never leave porto
I agree any player that doesn't play with passion of the club might as well leave. To be fare thought, Hulk has had a injury of which he has never suffered in his career this year and that might be causing this lack lustre season. However Porto is know for find talent player and coming back with a strong team even when losing key player.
Good win for Benfica! It boosts their morale ahead of their game vs Chelsea. Also, people must be having a blast in Lisbon after the draw to host the 2014 CL Final!
i demand decent highlights for this game!
