That's football for you. The Spurs scored the only goal of the game. It is what matter if you are result-oriented.
it will be exciting to see totenham in CL in my opinion spurs is way better TEAM than city & im glad that its totenham who will be in CL not city.

A good test for Tottenham and a good win. Cudicini looks a bit shaky, but Gomez is a great keeper and kept them in it in the first half. Definitely a solid side this year

Gareth Bale is going to be a beast in the upcoming season!! How Tottenham won this game is baffling given how much Benfica were in control!!
What a top quality player Giovanni is, great vision, precision, and class in that pass. Hope Redknapp either plays him a lot this season or sell him to a better team that will use him such as AC Milan
I like how the team is coming together now, I really hope Redknapp doesn't sell any one. I would like to see how good the team can be now that most of them have now played at least a year together.
This can be a great season for us! Our squad will be at least as strong as last year. Some players will probably leave though. I noticed that Robbie Keane didn't feature neither vs Benfica or with the Spurs IX vs Ipswich. He might be on his way, same possibly (likely) with Hutton, O'Hara and Bentley.
Hope Gio will be something special for us this season. Solid effort from the boys anyways, wonder how many Bale will rack up in 10/11.
Was nice to get a win against Benfica and if we had kept the 11 that we had on in the first half it could have been better, or Gomes may not have pulled off those amazing saves and it could have been worse... either way nice to see some new and old talent on the pitch
