Nothing taking away from the victory of Belgium all great, but 2 major personal mistakes by d. Jong and Stekelenburg resulting in 2 goals...at that level u'll get punished for that.
wow what a collapse!
Belgian GOLDEN GENERATION IS HERE! Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Kompany, Witsel, De Bruyne, Hazard, Chedli, and Lukaku!

And don't forget the young goalie Courtois!
The Dutch should prepare themselves for era of what France has been going through. Van Gaal won't be able to fix this. He's got a big ego himself.
This was a well-earned victory for Belgium against a strong opponent and therefore a great preparation for the WC-qualifications.

I think it's no secret that this generation of players hosts a lot of talent, but for the first time we really played as a collective and that definately payed off.

Defense was decent ( except for the timing of the off-side trap !), especially Gillet and Vertonghen who did very well when positioned as backs.

On the midfield they've put a lot of pressure on the Dutchman in possession (Defour and Witsel!), but on the ball passing was too slow/sloppy.
This improved significantly in the second half when confidence was at a high and players took more risks. Especially substitutes Mertens (speed) and De Bruyne (crossing!!) were the directors on the midfield in the second half.

Both strikers Benteke and Lukaku surprised me in a positive way, each scoring a goal and playing as target men should play.

Overall Belgium showed great attacking play, stability in midfield and mental toughness after conceding 2 goals in 2 minutes. I think unity and collective play is key for this team

(and maybe the reason why Hazard isn't reaching his level of performance in international matches - i have a feeling he doesn't connect to the group very well - in this game he made some good runs with the ball, but could never find a good pass + he made a great run without the ball, but didn't get the pass from Chadli, which would have put him right in front of Stekelenburg...)

Great Game! We have the best generation ever in Belgian football. Lots of established stars (Kompany, Witsel, Fellaini...) with some upcoming youngsters (De Bruyne!, Benteke...)
The Dutch weren't as bad as the scoreline says. Too many defensive errors though.
wow! what a great match
