Quoting from "The History of the Laws of the Game" on the official FIFA website.
"In the definition of offside position, "nearer to his opponents' goal line" means that any part of his head, body or feet is nearer to his opponents' goal-line than both the ball and the second last opponent. The arms are not included in this definition."
Eto'o's (lol) goal was not offside. To back this up, I even made a nice picture.

If the turquoise line (where Eto'o's right knee currently is) gets in front of the red line, (Pranjic's right foot) then it's offside. Even if you would count Eto'o's right arm, he's still not offside.

Just wanted to put an end to this 'Offside/Not offside! Insult!' dispute.
When he won the champs league wiht Real madrid he was too young and on the bench. When he won it wiht Barca twice everybody talked about Ronaldhino and Messi. Then he won the treble with Inter Milan and everybody talked about Mourinho.
A. he was a bench warmer for real
B. messi and ronaldinho were the real deal
c. "I am the special one" enough said.
oh and how can I forget I still have flashbacks MILITO!!!!
B.Ronaldhino was the real deal but he started playing like crap and Eto picked up his slack.
C. He scored in the Champions League final against Arsenal and when they won it against United ( i think).
D. Milito was nothing without the hard work of Eto. Eto kind of allowed him to take the spotlight by playing a different role because Milito is not as hardworking as Eto. (Seriously how can you compare both players. )
E. Even the special one always needs special players and he found one called Eto.
So for you to discredit his titles is just plain unfair i think. Those points you gave are very one sided.
Shame about the ETO'O offside goal but he gave the Bayern back four misery all evening. still a beast.
great game all around though. both teams were great. Gomez goal one of the best of the season for sure.
And by the way..still complaining about Eto'o's maybe offside (I don't think it is but it's a difficult call anyway)..why don't you all remember how Bayern won against Fiorentina last year in Munich? go watch the highlights: a unbelievable red cadr agains the viola and an even more unbelievable goal by Gomez,THAT WAS AN OFFSIDE
the next two inter goals were quality great shot by snjeider and a good play by eto'o for the third. good fight back by inter but i dont think they deserved it
