looking back on this win for Barca...it was more of a loss for Arsenal..since that week of bowing out of the UCL and losing in the Carling Cup final, they have now since gone out of the FA Cup and look to be losing their composure down the stretch of the EPL title race
honestly, i wont say anyting. all the manu fans who are dissin arsenal rite now, will at some point face barcelona.....at they will make a road kill of u guys

Why do we arsenal fans like 2 blame referees for our poor performances?? Arsenal sucked , why ddnt Wenger start Arshavin?? we were completely outplayed and would hav still lost regardless of Van Persie's presence..d red card was harsh but Van Persie had no business getting the first yellow card in thhe first place and ther was no way he couldnt hav heard d whistle.. he played in South Africa and the noise from the vuvuzelas were much worse!!! If we played like we did against manu yestrday we shd hav gotten at least a draw... Almunia was fantastic... truth be told Arsene Wenger's development program is a good one but this is howw far it will take us...'almost there but never there'Arsenal need 2 get quality players 4 both our starting lineup and bench,, until we do so we will continue each season trophyless and lose many good players to other clubs and to Chelsea fans also blaming the referee 4 nt awarding penalties in ur match against barca @ stamford bridge, u had chances to bury the game especially Drogba but ddnt use your chances...

"I hear Victor Valdez is giving his match fee to charity as he feels it would be fraud to take payment for doing absolutely nothing for 90 mins.
Maybe most of the Arsenal squad should do the same."

Valdes (11) completed yesterday more passes than Nasri (8), Van Persie (7) and Arshavin (5)

Barcelona full of Spanish talent, Arsenal one English talent :S Sort it out!!

I feel compelled to speak about this five days after the disaster at Nou Camp. I have made peace with the fact that Barcelona is the best team in the would. Everytime a Barca player (doesnt matter who) did something, I found myself asking "how do they do that?" Simply put Barcelona are magical and how they go about breaking up the play of their opponents is just ruthless and their attacking is just mesmerizing. That said, Barca with all their might, couldnt beat the raw desire to win that the gunners displayed at the Emirates. Arsenal players stated "This is our house" and got the result they needed. At the Nou Camp, Arsenal was dominated and it was not a suprise but they were still in the match when they got that away goal. Alot of commenters here keep saying that if RVP had stayed on the pitch Arsenal would still not have won the game. Well Arsenal did NOT need to win the game. Arsenal just needed to score more away goals. A 1-1 draw would have been fine, a 2-2 would have been fine, even a 3-2 loss would have been fine. Who is to say Arsenal wouldnt have got that 2nd crucial goal. Why cant we all agree that we will never know what would have happened?
+1
And seems that no one agrees. Barcelona are not magical. All the other clubs are just way way WAY UN-magical.
Indeed!
Good game and deserved result barca. Dont agree with the red card but hey ho thats life, s**t happens and tbh the way arsenal were playing i dont think it would have changed the game much anyways. Would've been nice to see arsenal progress but the better team definately won it.
+1
Thats right. Barca was a better team. Skills, speed, passion - name it. Ironically if Bendtner was a better player, it could have been 3:2 in dying minutes. This would not be fair. The way Barca played - they are the world's best now!

ok we all know Arsenal sucks at defence. they should learn how to park the bus properly first from Mourinho! :)
Mourinho packed the bus at camp nou with madrid and collected 5 lol
+1
Nobody should learn parking the bus from anyone! It's anti-football
+4
its not really anti football its just a football tactic some people might not like it. it was with the same "anti-football" tactic that inter managed to knock out barca last year. very unlikely that they could have done it any other way.
Parking the bus isnt really anti football as you say. Its a legitimate tactic. Besides who's to say "park the bus" defending isnt something to be relished as well as fluent attacking football? I enjoyed the barca-inter game because it was a marvel to see inter disrupting barca's fluent attacks time and time again. Attacking isnt the only part of the game my friend.
+3
Parking the bus really is a legitimate tactic, proven to be a winning tactic by Italians in the 80's, but it is unattractive and kills the spectacle, and i believe football's purpose is to entertain people
Its a tactic if you know how to use it well, if your going to "park the bus" then loose well then you might as well have not even showed up.
+1
Just cos barca can't do it doesnt mean it is anti football. mourinho showed how it should be done. I guess it would take mourinho again to stop this 11men plus Referee , 'beautiful game' playing team
its bullshit and bullshit teams like chelsea and inter only do that, nobody respects teams that do that it isnt football !
+1
It worked with Inter although they had luck on their side... Inter were marvelous... shame for them they lost Monihro don't think they would of won it anyway with Monihro this year... not sure... he did also buy top players Monihro... Inter are one mess now though... must improve to what they are capable off... and the first step it to get back Mounirho!!
You know the worst thing about this?
How dam smug all the Barca fans are right now.

Sure, Arsenal was being dominated, and the stats show it. However, with Arsenal's fitness, the game would have shifted back in their favor. Just look at the last game. We were fairly ineffective until the 60 min mark, then we scored two to win the game. Also, RVP got sent off minutes after our best chance in the match.

Too many what ifs, but it is impossible to deny that the ref nailed Arsenal's coffin
+1
Do you think this is a red card?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwEgVdzd-TQ
+2
Yes that is a red card, he fouled Fabregas in the box and impeded a scoring opportunity without touching the ball. RVPs Red didn't involve any other player, it was ridiculous, more time was wasted because of the sending off. Strange that it was the same ref in both games though.
If your so called RVP did not hear the wistle go then why did he make such a useless attempt at goal with only the keeper to beat? Exactly, now if you were a ref that would be considered as time wasting.
The angle was too tight there. and the first yellow was a joke ... Alves should have been nominated for best actor and busacca for best supporting actor
Angle to tight? He had heaps of space.
it was his weaker foot
So why didn,t diaby get 1 or koscielny in the first or 2nd leg exactly my point same referee and you all complain.
Whenever I see Almunia I see a burnt out player.... he needs a new start he is a good goal keeper, just not good enough for a struggling top team. I would even take west ham's goal keeper at least the poor fella has shame lol
Almunia had some good/lucky saves this match. He has certainly had enough time on the bench to recover being 'burned out'
messi is simply a football maestro, nothing but the best from the world's best player for two consecutive years.=)

Still get chills hearing those ridiculously loud fans on the first goal!

Sick of all the winging and moaning from Arsenal, it's fans, and premier league fans in general, it's pathetic. I'm still waiting for one Arsenal fan to give me there opinion on the disallowed messi goal, the possible penalty decision on pedro in the first leg and the one on messi in the second leg, but still no response. The fact is that a team who is second in the premier league was made look like a 2nd division team. And Arsenal still could of made an effort with ten men, but they couldn't because they where being outplayed with 11 men. The accusations that barca are being helped by uefa is pure and simple jealousy, and that's all it is. Why not just enjoy the great entertaining football that barca and playing and give credit where credit is due. Oh yeah and stop acting like little kids, and get on with it.

we are already ahead of that..
bring it on man utd..
and goodluck barca..
dont lose to other team in cl as this will only make arsenal look stupider for losing to barca..
haha
