Itenzo, yes! I say it,claim it, remark and underline it! The win in the first leg stands. And don't make me nervous otherwise I will curse you and Ibra will score at least twice against Barca in the next match! That's a wizardry we can make it happen through a strand of Ibra's hair we have here in Milan. So be careful friend!
awesome comeback, milan just isnt the quality it was years before (even tho they won the first game 2-0)
I must say I was surprised with sec leg result as Milan really put on a wonderful performance in 1st leg. It just seemed home crowds hav an effect on teams performance. And that villa's gol, I think if the defender simply stood his ground instead of trying to clear it eventually slipping, I think he would hav prevented the gol. But hey, happy it did go in. Well played both teams in both games.
I say Pope Francis' appointment was influenced by Messi's performance of this game.

when you make history, respect should be demonstrated by the team that thought History was on their side. That a team in champions league has never come back from a two goal disadvantage.
AC MILAN learned great humility in this match
I don't even know how many times I have watched this highlights!! Its that good and entertains my eyes.
+1
Ditto, this game is epic
With a top defense player the second goal would have been avoided; with more luck Niang would have scored and perhaps we would have passed. That's football. Congrats to Barca that is the best European team.
However the 2-0 win in the first match on which we erased Messi and Barca remains.
+2
Still defiant for nothing. The first leg gets quashed with this result.

" ... first match on which we erased messi and barca remains" ...

Empty rhetoric more like kicks of dying horse. You are out , deal with it !!
"Being out" happens! Last year you went out against Chelsea. Question: is Chelsea stronger than Barca--->answer: NO.
So I don't have to deal with nothing. I was just commenting and remarking that in the first match we won for 2-0 and we deserved it.
Don't worry in 1-2 years if we can replay this match with Balotelli and a strong central defender the result will be different.
+2
"Don't worry in 1-2 yrs if we can replay this ..." - that's all u can do for now is "wishing". Who do u think u want to outwit here? Problem is u think in 1-2 yrs, 'if we replay this' barca will be the same. You are wrong. Nothing stays the same. We will b a different team as we also proved our ability to adapt in the sec leg.

See, you hav so much to deal with, you know.

Eerm ... and that balotelli , "why always him?"
AC Milan will surely be stronger in a couple of years, if they stay with the current team, and get better in the central defensive positions; I really like how AC Milan and Juventus are practically training the future players/squad of Italy- I expect Spain and Italy to dominate for a while.
@pirbalovinco at least that's a fair analysis. Totally agree.
@March79: OMG! Too many Ifs and Buts.

If Ref. made a right call of Hand ball in the first leg before
If Abate's foul on Pedro's was given penalty and Abate was sent off.

Then???

cheer up!
Yes there are always many "IF" in football. If ref last year hadn't given the hilarius penalty in your favour ( the one with Nesta involved) most likely we would have passed.
^If the ref had rightfully given Milito offside vs Inter...
If the ref had given a penalty for snejder's scissor chop foul on Alves..
If Bojan's goal was not given offside..
If Carvalho's obstruction of Valdes was rightfully given a foul, Terry's goal wouldn't have counted in 07...
If Carvalho's pulling down of Eto at Camp Nou was rightfully called for a penalty in 07...

You see, people like you have convenient memory. There are lots of ifs and buts which didn't go in Barca's favor. If Barca didn't have their share of bad luck, they would have swept the UCL every year for the past 6 years. There are bad decisions in football for every team. Every team that plays Barca feel the need to foul them in order to stop them. When you foul excessively, like Milan was doing in the game you mentioned, the ref is more likely to call you out eventually. In that game, we can tell you that Milan should have been yellow carded several times but they didn't because refs don't like to hand out cards like candy. So, yeah you might feel like you got hosed by the ref, but you don't see the other side of the story because, its convenient for you to remember the good stuff.
+2
I totally understand. The law of the nature says that Barca is the strongest team ever and cannot be defeated. Neither luck nor ref can change the destiny.
So let's meet up here again to celebrate Barca victory in the Champions league final in May. I think there is no point in making topics and discussions if the future is already written and determined.

p.s. but if either Real or Juve will kick your asses you'd better not show up here with your arrogance.
Itenzo - Country: Russia, Club: Barcelona...enough said.
And I don't mean to be a dick...but come on, you are being very unfair against someone who is not even insulting your team, but merely hanging on to a very legit win in the first leg. Where is the harm?
@ASFeydayn - now that's a personal attack. What have comments here got to do with profile details? If you think the following quote make sense then you probably need to explain to barca fans:

" ... first match on which we erased messi and barca remains" ...

That is unacceptable especially after sec leg when everyone else wrote us off. I based my arguments on facts not mere personal attacks.

Now if you have personal issues with people from other parts of the world just bring it on and be honest about it. But I'm gonna tell you that racism has no place in football - nuff said.
ITenzo: it surely makes sense what I wrote because every match must be judged for itself.

If you say that I write nonsense then this is an offense. You see why you are arrogant? Obviously I don't care about where you are from.
@march79 - I personally have no issues with u bro and I believe you and I are having a healthy debate. But @ASFeydayn seems to have a problem with my profile details and that's where the line is being crossed. if you think he hasn't crossed then you are as much racist as he is (and that is subject to being reported as its unacceptable ).

Now to answer you based on your statement "...first leg still stands"(paraphrasing): I'll tell you why it doesn't make sense. It was a two much tie in which a victorious team had to emerge so having scored more goals. It is ludicrous to say ac Milan's win still stands when you were out-scored and convincingly knocked off the perch. You have to think interns of the whole tie.

And look at how many comments have disputed your egotistical argument, proving you need a soul search. We did when we lost back to back. Everyone yet agrees that barca staged an indisputable comeback that no other team has ever achieved at the stage of the tournament. If anything (according to your way of talking) "erasing ac Milan's 1st leg performance". And if you still think your argument still holds water then you are living in a very isolated footy world.

What i've noted with some people sometimes is when they have no facts they simply attack for no good reason. Thats very cheap and below the belt!

And please bring "facts" to the table not fables.
I don't think I said anything racist. I am just saying that you kinda chose your team to be Barca instead of supporting your city, which shows that you care about winning. So your comment should be put in prospective, that's all.

The facts (that you so adamantly require) are that AC Milan completely outplayed a rather tired Barca that was going through a hard time. But they still won and solidly. And although Messi is the best player of all times (trust me, I love him!) AC did shut him out.

This game though, no team could have beat Barca (at least in my opinion). They were pressing super high up like they used to, and although they were shaky in the defense, AC barely crossed the midfield.

So the facts are that AC outplayed Barca in the 1st leg, and Barca outplayed AC in the 2nd. End of story.
@ASFedayn - Ok Im just gonna suggest that next time you be clear as to what you mean when you spit out personal details in the manner that you did especially in the heat of such an exchange. And honestly I don't see why my comments here should have anything to do with where I come from. What you said makes one feel marginalised.

Now the real debate with @march79 was the fact that he said ac milan's win "still stands" even after the loss in the second leg which did not sit well with me or indeed many of barca supporters - as I considered this to be a tie played between two legs. Its the final outcome that really stands, rendering his claim nonsensical - i mean his team was knocked out... I dont see how in the world can anyone even say that.

Finally it would have been better if @march79 had rather said what you've said in your conclusion that: "AC outplayed Barca in the 1st leg, and Barca outplayed AC in the 2nd". He would have received more praise than ridicule.

I honestly cannot help it if my opinion makes you feel marginalized. You can support whatever team you want, but in my view, real fans don't choose teams amongst the top 3 of the world...they merely support their city. That is honesty and true allegiance, at least in my opinion. No racism can be read in that, nor should you feel marginalized...it is just my opinion and like you, there millions of other Barca "fans" who are spread throughout the whole planet. I think between the categories of "Roma Fans (both from Rome and World-Wide)" and "International Barca Fans" we are likely outnumbered by 10000000000 to 1. So you really should not feel marginalized at all ;)

His claim is absolutely not nonsensical, but merely a fact. AC won the first leg - end of story.
A similar fact is: Barca won the 2nd leg and went through to the semifinal. Not much you can say against that either.

Also, other than your comment, I don't see much outcry by Barca "fans" nor ridicule. Obviously march79 is hurt that AC went out and he holds on to a very nicely played first leg. Why that is wrong is beyond me.
Had to write this because cannot keep quite about the rude attitude of Barca fans and utter disrespect for this beautiful game and players of other teams (regardless of the win or loose). It is a shame to see most Barca fans disrespecting and calling names to Milan and other teams including their players and coaches.

I knew Barca would win this game but what I did not know was how sad it was to see Barca fans wanting to win just to rub it in the face of- Milan and other team fans. Instead of having love and joy, I see pure hate and disrespect oh it is sad to read here just sad...

Got Love & Respect for= Football ---> Champions League ---> The Football Players ---> Messi, and everyone who played on this stage.

BUT No Love or Respect Ever for= Barca Fans

I loved Barca with Ronaldinho; I never at that moment thought “I hate barca or they are cheaters”. Still remember the game where Barca played Milan at home and it was a cracker when he scored the goal to crush them. I thought
“Ronaldinho you deserve this game, you represent this game by laughing, love for the opponent to the point that if a person fouled him, he would get up laughing making a fun gesture to show to ref give him a card. Even the ref would laugh and get him up. Always played the game with the fun as a kid playing in the backyard.

Then when they went to play Chelsea, I was watching the game with all Chelsea fans, and I was the only one supporting Barca because of Ronaldinho. Someone mentioned “oh they wont be able to score on Chelsea” and I said
“Ronaldinho is the only player to scores in all away games; he scored against the giants on their home”.

And when that one moment in that game when Ronaldinho in front both the worlds best- defender Carvalho, and goalkeeper Petr Čech did that cheeky move to score- it was magnificent. I remember that Chelsea fan telling me “man you were right he is that good I should not have doubted it”. And he was showing how the way he scored

Thats is FOOTBALL RESPECT !!
not all of us are bad..lol
most of the ones on the barca page have respect. dont listen to the ones commenting here. lol
zizuthelegend i thought u already know that those who commenting here the most were either troll or bandwagon-jumpers

don't tell em anything about respect bcoz u're just wasting ur time
+1
@Zizuthelegend just to clear something. Most of Milan fans wrote us off and there was a lot of garbage that got thrown from that side too. I remember barca haters from all sides including ac Milan shouting discord and abuse. So don't say barca fans are haters when the same applies to you.

And I find it hard to believe what u said "... I knew barca will win.." As I don't recall a single Milan fan saying that after first leg barca loss. I'm don't say it isn't true but find it hard to believe.

We always respect our opponents and specially opponents like Milan who won this competition a lot in the past. because of some rude fans it does not mean we are all the same.

One of the best matches i have ever seen, Messi was on fire, haven't seen him destroy a team like that for a while, Milan looked like whatever they did they wouldn't be able to stop it. When he plays like that its hard to argue that there has ever been anyone better. Too bad it had to be my team that was used to cement his legacy, we will back next year.

You sound like a true and an honest fan. I have great respect you man. Gracious in defeat. Just what these forums need.

great comment. everyone must bring football first then their love for their own team.
Milan played very good but we were excellent. and in the first leg they deserved because they were clinical in their finishing. that is all
Villa's celebration made my night. The look on his face was priceless. One cannot imagine what he is currently going through being on the bench for so long not getting time to play. He celebrated as if he scored the first professional goal of his life. It must be so hard for someone like Villa to go from being the most sought after Spanish striker to playing second string striker.

he always celebrates like that. i still remember his celebration against Manchester United in the final. both same

all english clubs r bogus
Come on man, don't hurt us like that, words are powerful- U MONSTER!
grow up man do not show rude attitude to others. English teams are best and that is a fact. they have been always competitive and most of them were in the semis and final from last seven years which deserves credit
haaah so many haterz ere shoot em dwn
barca world class its as simple as daaaat

El Sharawy had 2 very clear opportunities and missed them. That post on the first half would've changed everything. I wanted Milan to get through..
It was Niang

Unlucky mate

Based on that performance, it would have been incredibly unfair for ACM to have gotten through on aggregate if Niang had scored. But, that's football I guess....
I agree and the same goes for Arsenal.

Some of you do realize how difficult it is to keep up with the game outside of Europe, right?? Waking up at the crack of dawn, paying extra subscriptions, inflated kit prices, crappy streams, watching in foreign languages, or settling for highlights a few hours later if any at all. I'm sorry but if that is not support then I don't know what is. I don't care who your club is, you support them in the best way you can. If you are lucky enough to live in Barcelona, London, Madrid, Milan etc. Be grateful for what you have, some of us will only dream of one day watching a live match. It's called the worlds game because it belongs to all of us to enjoy, haters kick rocks!
+13
people who complain are kids and they dont really understand where the modern game has reached. If someone is in their teens and are angry about fans who dont actually live in those cities are small minded people who have never stepped outside their town will not understand this.
+2
I just don't think you are a real fan. I am sorry, but unless you are at the stadium supporting them, you don't really do a whole lot for "your" team from behind a TV.
To me that is just not a fan. And I am neither a kid nor angry nor small minded (i don't think at least), that is just the way it is. Being a fan is a lifestyle. When players hear you sing or go through the city and see the people showing the team's colors..that is when you support. Otherwise it's just a hobby.
And what really grinds my gears is how people NEED to support ManU or Barca or Real. Why don't you support your own city? They probably need you. Barca, Real and ManU have sufficient fans trust me.
@ASFedayn Sorry mate but you are not making one bit of sense here. A person does not need to be at the stadium to be called a fan of a particular club HELLO!! there is something called life and football is only a piece of it. Life Circumstances does not allow everyone to be at the Stadium and if your are at the stadium it simply means that you are fortunate thats all. Being a fan is not a lifestyle because I am yet to see anyone eating, drinking, wearing, working, talking, sleeping, only to mention a few, a Particular team their entire life. I am only hoping you don't eat and drink AS Roma because the players themselves don't. How can a barca fan that lives in Singapore go to a game that is being played in Barcelona?? and yet you insist you are not small minded?? But all the same thats your opinion and you are definitely entitled to it.
+4
First off thanks for calling me small-minded. Anyway the point that I am trying to make is that you don't NEED to support the best teams ever. Yes, I agree it's great to win, but come on, your city needs you. If everyone reasoned the same way virtually every stadium would be empty and Camp Nou, Bernabeu and Old Trafford the only one being sold out. That is not a world I care to live in - it's lame.

So maybe at the next world cup you should support Spain and Brazil.

I am sorry but the way I see it is that you don't get to pick and choose your dream team...too easy. You support and stand by the city you live in.
I mostly agree with ASFedayn, but I think you can support your team without living in the city or going to the stadium as long as you have SOME ties to the team you support.. like your family is from there or your city doesn't have a team, but you once stayed in Paris for half a year and went to some PSG games. I don't like it when people just pick a team in a league and start following them and say that is the team they support, it doesn't feel right. MY team is Chivas and always will be, but my favorite team from Spain is Barcelona, and my favorite team from England is Man United. I'm not a supporter of them, but more of an appreciator, because i really like the way they play football.
+1
Thank you...that is exactly what I am trying to say. I am not going to judge anyone for following different teams. I do like the Spurs in the EPL and for me Barca is amazing and I love to watch Messi play. But I am not going to just pick them as my team. Don't you think that it would be the best to celebrate league titles and CL every year (I mean let's face it, when is Roma going to win a CL? Definitely not in my lifetime)? But that would be too easy. Especially if a team in my city needs my support.
Case and point, when we won in 2001 and I got to celebrate in my town with my people...it was top 3 favorite moments in my life. And I don't think it'd feel as special when you watch your team on TV at 11.45 in the morning and celebrate by yourself with a fancy lunch 9000 miles (or wherever) away from the city.
And like I said, this is my very personal opinion...you don't have to agree, but you can't get mad either.

If a team only had a fan base within the city, they'd stand no chance financially. Whether a fan comes from that city/town or not, it has no relevance to whether they are a true fan or not
+5
I think if everyone stood up for their city maybe wealth would be spread more equally with a distribution that is more fair making each league interesting.
But this doesn't work if you have to win all the time...in that case, choosing and picking your team becomes a necessity.
