Man United would destroy both of these teams.

lol we'll just see about that :) Barcelona got better and Manchester got worse since Barcelona beat them so I wouldn't bet on a Manchester win if I were you... Just some friendly advice :) I'm a semi-professional punter btw

Lol. Good call
great win for real possible psychological advantage for them in the champo semi now.

a much more entertaining match than the league one and hopefully a prelude to the mid week action. cant wait
Good game. Could have gone both ways. This is supposed to be normal, barcelona and madrid fighting close. The fact that madrid celebrated like they did for a copa del rey, a tournament they do not give a f**k about, tells you how big barcelona has been. I still think barcelona is a better team, i still think they do have a chance to make it to the finals (a 1-0 loss in a neutral zone, and a 1-1 as a visitor), i think this barcelona will be remembered as one of the best in history even if real wins the CL, not only because of their recent victories but also in the way they achieved them. For anybody who reads spanish, an article on the historical significance of Pep´s barcelona in the easthetic history of the sport, written by one the leading cultural critics in the world:

Viva Ronaldo!

Good to see that teams can get at Barcelona and they aren't invincible. The Champions League should be a classic.

What the hell?! Barcelona "rubbish"?! This was a game that had two games in it. 1st half, Madrid's. Hands down. They did what they had to do. Destroy the midfield of Barca, and Pepe is just that. Counter attack, and exploit the weak defense, and it almost came in the first half. Second half Barca's. Anyone who knows football knows that Barca was its old self in the second half. Passes, possession and beauty. BUT... that does not win matches. What Mourinho did was genius (I HATE HIM), he dressed up Madrid as Inter and played essentially the same match he played against Barca last year. And Pep has not learned how to counter that type of play. Aside from not having HOW or WITH WHOM.

Barca didn't finish the match when they had the chance. And in this match, it was the first to score would win, anyone would know that. Madrid scored, great goal and that was game.

Barca showed its greatest weaknesses here. 1. No other script, no ability to adapt to situations like these, other than to keep the ball... with no penetration. 2. No bench. Short squad as it is with all men in full health has been seriously diminished by injuries, and the defense at this point is just a makeshift defense. Really all the offense that Pep had was... Afellay??? Kid is not even Bojan's sox. And Villa is just awful at this point, but cant be benched because there is no one else.
And after today's Liga match... its even worse as Maxwell and Milito are out (so far). My thoughts: if Pep can pull it off this season, for me he is the best, to actually make it happen with only 14 players is sheer genius.

No complaints here. Madrid played a Mou style game and their style beat our style. Effective, yes, not pretty yes. But at the end... sadly for us the one that lifts the cup is the one that gets the bragging rights, and not the one that plays prettier.

all i know its that all the real madrid's players feel threatened by all the Barca players thats why they were so dirty ( as usual ) but the ref allowed to much that why they kept on doing it, and we all know that Barca was a better team.

Whats the point of winning a soccer game if you are barely playing soccer most likely what i saw they were playing was kinda like hockey, anyway cristiano just got lucky but we cant change the past so whats done is done.

cheers

I disagree, they still create many fantastic chances, much more than Barca. You only say he was lucky cuz he aint your man anymore, it was a great header.
+2
it was a gud header but he would've never won it against abidal/puyol or scored against valdes
+1
hahah abidal puyol and valdez? seriously?
Indeed guys, he's still Ronaldo huh ? He'll win his duels against any given player.
Poor guys dropped the trophy just to see it crushing under the bus. But they played well and deserved it, gotta give it up to Mourinho.
wow why is it that barcelona fans cant handle a loss u dont see madrid bragging about its record 9 time european championships? when barca only has 3. real madrid was named most successful club of the twentieth century not decade, CENTURY end of story
+2
end of story? lol
+1
haha mate this is their new argument...when you get molested in the current seasons even after spending 200 million start bragging about the Century still keeps the debate alive haha
football is all about form. both real and barca are great sides, no one with any intelligence can deny that historically real are the better side. in england before the nineties liverpool were historically the best side but then united came along and dominated 2 decades now its close between the 2. my own team wolves were considered one of the best teams of all time up untill the late sixities but now we struggle to stay in the prem.

so dont look too far back in to the past, look to the future, look to a great cup win and having a possible edge against barca in the champo semi's.

i like this guy^. hes kool... ima give him kool votes and ask him to be my friend =)
Would've been a wonderful goal for Pepe if he had gotten a an inch closer on that header.
YES MADRID !!
Awesome game with too many dives, but that flank and the connecting header were fabulous!!!
