i thought that barca played an average game. they weren't rubbish. they controlled the play for most of the game and held down possession. the highlights might have favoured madrid, but they really took their chances well. great game.

LIke Inter, this is not the time to be slipping up... and its even worse for Barca as Real Madrid is clipping at their heels.Why lose these games now. I need a hell of a lot more convincing for them to double up at Champions League level

Here is my comment on the match. The midfield was crowded because Atletico play with a high defense much as barca do and the Vicente Calderon is a smaller pitch. I think Barca have a tendency to struggle on small pitches. Perhaps Pep could have advised the defense to play deeper in order to create space.

These factors were compounded by not having a defender such as Pique or Marquez who can provide a through ball as well not having a striker who can hang on the last defender and run through to score such as Henry.

Busquets is a player I normally love to criticise but I think he had one of his better games. Within a very crowded midfield area he didn't lose the ball too often. The absolute lack of any attack from the right could be put down to Jeffren's nervousness which made him unwilling to move forward and support on that flank.

Madrid played awesome,why can't they play like this more often

i was starting to wonder when is it going to be the week when barca dont get a point out of a game lol, athletico was putting pressure on the new starters at the back, for me kun aguero was the main man he did work up front, anyway i should say that barca should have had a point out of this game, they didnt lose so far to any of the other teams so why to athletico, applause for man utd for being just 1 point away from the first spot after having 11 injuries all of them the first team players and key players, injured palyers still injured though. I wonder where would utd be if there were minimal injuries
