Piqué's yellow however was barely a foul: Llorente just slipped and lost his balance, while Piqué held him back a bit. But no way that was a yellow. Then, further in the game, Iniesta, Bojan and Villa (twice) were taken down from behind (not in highlights), and he didn't even give a foul... Very odd ref.
I completely agree tho that this ref was very odd with his calls, very inconsistent.

The first tackle in the pic is the bad one, the second is how it's done properly.
Therefore it's a standard rule the ref always should give the red card for that mistake. Even if the tackler hits the ball and not the player with that stretched leg, a ref should pull out the red.
Amorebieta's shud be yellow instead too.
