Newcastle won't miss Ba if Cisse comes into form, remember last year the drought that Ba fell into when Cisse was acquired, think back of his goal against Chelsea. Cabaye is so important to this team as today showed, throw in the french calvary they acquired in the transfer window and the fact that Coloccini will stay. Newcastle can be very dangerous.

This fixture, 4 years ago was the last match of season, Newcastle needed a point to avoid relegation and instead of it, they scored an own goal, there was noone like Cisse to stand up and do the job, then Hull City stayed in the league instead of Newcastle.

Nice to see Cisse score again, and Cabaye's goal was amazing strike, he always a nice shot for goals. Aston Villa got lucky with that penalty, that was minimum contact from Debuchy. But atleast there fans had one goal to celebrate cause its incredible how much there sucking right now.

terrible penalty decision. blatant dive note sure aggie didnt stand on debuchys foot... mike dean though is a useless ref. second half villa tried to kick lumps out the newcastle players and they showed some resolve. great 3 points

Brilliant from cabeye. Most ppl dont know but he was the best cm in the league last year statistically, just ahead of yaya.

Hopefully cisse regains some form. He has been wasteful lately but he is looking dangerous again, he has a gift for scoring brilliant goals and im sure he will get going again...

Poor villa, idk if lambert can keep them up.
