cant stop the greatest striker Rvp.. That man just lifts my momentum everytime he scores, and this Alex song, he just puts the ball dead on for Rvp to volley in... do it against New castle for me again

Dude, the fact that there are higher expectations from Arsenal than from Tottenham speaks for itself...

And you should be the last out of current top 6 of EPL to speak about Arsenal performance...

Why were the Arsenal fans booing Ibrahimovic all the time? He had done nothing to elict such hated.
Pobably because of his remarks about Van Persie.
and he's a diving idiot
He said in the newspaper "I turned down Arsenal because they asked me to audition, I don't do auditions" He's a pompous twat. Even Messi and Ronaldo auditioned for their clubs.

english teams have never really been as successful in the champions league when compared to teams from spain, italy, germany, netherlands, and even portugal.. just because a few english teams reached the latter stages of the competition in recent years, don't assume that the premier league is the best, as the english 'media' will have you believe.. united have been the only english champions in the past few seasons and they were 'schooled' by barca in two champions league finals, and the one that united actually managed to win was because terry fell on his arse... it doesn't matter how many finals an english team reaches, history only remembers winners... in fact, only united and liverpool fluked the champions league on penalties in the last decade, whereas the rest of the winners have been non-english teams...

the premier league flatters to deceive and is an archaic 'kick-and-rush' brand of football that does not work any more.. you see the evidence on both the international stage and in european competition.. basel, napoli, and bilbao dominated the manchester teams - runaway prem leaders - and they are hardly runaway leaders in their own leagues (except basel).. stop buying into english media hype and look for yourselves.. why do the prem teams only go for elite coaches from europe? there's hardly a decent english manager in the game because they simply don't have the tactical ability to compete with the best teams in europe... and the most successful british manager - alex ferguson - has a rubbish record in europe, and he even admits this himself.. spanish football is technical and that's why technically gifted players prefer to play there (that's why donaldo left the prem), italian football is tactical which is why older, experienced players thrive there, while the prem is 'hoof-it-up-the field-and-chase' rubbish, which the press like to amp up as 'pace' and 'speed'... it only looks good when some of the instinctive plays work, but for the most part you have players like walcott, lennon, etc. just running up and down the pitch without thinking... in my opinion, spanish (technical) and german (combines pace/physicality with technical flair) football are the best value for money...

it really comes down to a matter of preference as to what brand/type of football fans want to see, and if you like technical/flair football, watch la liga or eredivise, serie a for tactical, bundesliga for a decent combination of physical & technical, and only watch the prem either if you're english, a fan of blood & guts 'old school' football, or simply a casual fan that reads the english media too much without actually 'observing' football...

The EPL has improved alot in the last 10 years though, by importing ideas from abroad, in the form of managers, players, technical directors, coaches, scouts and so on.

Other leagues have styed more consistent with their personality.
@Chelsearising, if you feel that way why do you support Chelsea? I notice your from Agentina, those comment wouldn't be because of your hatred for England over the Faulklands would it?

Fool!
DOMENICO, I ADMIRE YOU'RE WILL AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE GAME. I AGREE IN EVERYTHING U MENTIONED, AC MILAN ON THE FIRST 35 MINUTES PLAYED AN AVERAGE GAME BECAUSE ARSENAL WERE GIVING THEIR ALL. AC MILAN IS A VERY MATURE TEAM AND KNOW HOW TO COOL DOWN A GAME BY KEEPING POSSESSION. ARSENAL IN THE SECOND HALF NEVER WERE THE SAME AC MILAN TOOK OVER AND PLAYED THEIR GAME, AC MILAN HAD SEVERAL CHANCES TO SCORE JUST LIKE ARSENAL DID. ARSENAL NEEDS TO KEEP THEIR PLAYERS AND STOP SELLING THEM, IF IT CONTINUES THEY WILL NEVER WIN THEIR FIRST CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CUP.
Wenger, albeit I respect him, always moans when something does not go his way.
yeh, only Wenger does that, innit?

Once the media say something, people follow like sheep.

Most managers moan when things don't go their way, please don't be naive.

Arsenal need to finish off there season in this form that they have shown in the last 3 matches. Beating Milan must of left them with a small taste of glory!.. even though they knocked us out, doesn't mean it can knock the honor and pride they have shown in this match. Up next Newcastle.. should be a good match! I bet my cat, if Arsenal lose, Goodbye Biscuit! :(

u sound so stupid, at one hand u saying dat arsenal scores, bcoz of poor defending by milan and then u saying dat at end milan got so many chances and couldn't score. then u dont jst give credit to arsenal dat we played much better than them, dat we scored three goals and had a solid defending meanwhile, dat denied every struggle from them. and as far as possesion is concerned, goals win matches, not possesion. u wrote too much, may b ur own opinion, but doesn't make sense at all.
After reading these comments everyone needs to relax. Im a big Arsenal fan, but lets be honest, they did not step up against Milan in this tie. There was nothing spectacular about their goals, just TERRIBLE defending, from a disinterested complacent Milan. A free header from 6 yards, a failed clearance, and a PK. The match facts show Milan with more possession and more shots. Each team missed an open net from within 5 yards. Milan could have scored just as many as Arsenal in the end.

Arsenal showed great intensity in the first half and made Milan nervous, leading to their mistakes, so in this sense they deserved the goals and should be given credit. However, they should also be very thankful thankful that Milan ("were disrespectful" someone said, and) considered the tie over because it gave Arsenal the chance to regain some pride. If Milan had come out hungry and beaten them again, it would have been disastrous for Arsenal.

All in all, the the teams are separated by Milan's experience. It is a team of champions that know how to win. This is what Arsenal lacks. The Milan players and coaches said after the game they played horrible, there is no cause for celebration, and took responsibility. Arsenal complained about the refs and the pitch. This is the difference. Wenger's side never improves because he never accepts loss and grows from defeat. It shows a lack of class.

Ibra's comments were not an insult. Its the type of person he is. If he is not winning he loses ambition. He considers himself (and RvP) a top player and believes top players should be at the best clubs, always winning trophies. Its not bad that hes unloyal, its just how he is. Winning motivates him and he loves success. For this his teammates respect him. There is a reason why he has won 8 (going to be 9) straight titles in 3 different countries. You cant argue with those numbers.

Finally, the Serie A vs BPL. From my experiences, many Serie A fans like myself, also enjoy the BPL, because I love the game, regardless of the country its played in. However BPL fans are always criticizing the Italian game for reasons I don't understand. I could care less, because they are missing out on one of the most fascinating and talented leagues in the world and showing they don't really love the sport, they just love a team. How many BPL teams (let alone in the top 6) play with 3 defenders? How is that playing defensive football? Seeing tactical battles AND some of the most technical players in the world is very exciting, but i guess thats just me. Milan had a 4-0 advantage and they still played 3 attackers. I thought the last 20 minutes would 10 men defending with Arsenal pounding away but instead Milan were playing keep-ball in Arsenals half.

Once again you can't argue with the numbers. In the Serie a's worst decade they still won the CL more times than the PL. 5th place Napoli (also first time in CL) beat 1st place City and are knocking out Chelsea. 2nd place Man U is facing elimination from the Europa league after losing at home to Bilbao. And now Arsenal is gone. To say one is consistently better than the other shows either A) Personal Ignorance B) Lack of knowledge about the game C) or Jealously. The Serie A deserves 4 spots as much as any league in the world.

i have sympathy for you, bacuase you wasted your time writing that entire shakespearean sonnet, and all I had to write was this, and shamefully i didn't read it.

hey i respect every word of his comment because thats a TRUE arsenal fan .... a TRUE fan knows when their favorite team has bin beatened .... and how Arsenal didnt go down without a fight .... very good game from arsenal and im a milan fan as well and im admit that milan went into this game to cocky as well but nice game Arsenal hope to see you guys in the CL next year and goodluck in EPL :)
@Trion.. you have 2 personalities or somethin?

MAWTH- The sympathy is much appreciated, but unnecessary, because after all, I enjoyed writing it. However, I know that reading a few paragraphs can be intimidating for some people. Sorry if my prose made you uncomfortable... too bad... you might have learned something.
No doubt that Serie A teams have done well in Europe but your comments about the goals Arsenal scored are purely rubbish. If you remember the 1st leg, 1st goal came from Sczesney's poor goal kick, 2nd goal where Ibra was offside on the left flank who assisted the goal, 3rd goal by robinho was because vermaleen slipped in front of him and fourth was a penalty. When there will be goals it will definitely be due to someone's mistake either poor marking or positioning or poor clearance or whatever..... So I don't understand the reason for your comment .......

tl;dr
An Arsenal fan trying to take credit away from Arsenal?

With Arsenal fans like that, who needs spuds?

Why are Milan supporters getting vex? you went through you should be happy. Why do you care what Arsenal supporter's say.

I am annoyed by the diving and the fact that they changed the sod on the flanks right before the 1st leg. for no apparent reason but to slow Arsenal down.

They won, but they have gone done in my eyes. A team with such talent should not have to resort to lowlife tactics and that is what they did.
+3
everybody plays on the same pitch my friend. For some reason arsenal fans seem to think that you're the only ones using the flanks, Ibra's second goal was all about using the flanks, so shut up.

Lowlife tactics? Well time wasting is never pretty, but honestly, every team in the world do it.
Are you 5?

The reason why you guys changes the pitch was to nullify the speed on the flanks. Everyone may play on the same pitch but every team does not play the same way.

As if you did not see what a big difference the picth made?

RVP!!!!!

wow...i originally thought arsenal dominated but man Milan had their chances too...good ones too.

That's the truth, absolutely. The 3-0 scoreline is deceiving; Milan wasted at least three guilt-edged chances to end the tie.
