geez diouff should have been of. I like eboue's dance
YUP!!!! THAT DESERVED A STRAIGHT RED!! If Phil Dowd was only a little closer, he would have sent off that lousy scum and the FA would have fined him! Dear oh dear, if Almunia wasn't lucky, he would have been the second Eduardo!!!!
I agree that Bendtner has been hashing way too many opportunities, but he is getting better off the ball and has the size to be a serious striker if he can get his concentration on center. Arshavin really caught my eye with Russia's run to the semis of the Euro Cup and I'm happy he chose Arsenal as his new home. His style fits right in with the Gunners ground based attack, his vision will provide many future goals.
i agree with you Boings. i remember watching that goal and saying to my cousin he scored a goal like that before. i thought i might be making it up but there you have it. we need to kick on and build on this result with a win on tyneside. otherwise, although unlikely, villa could get a result at PanTSfield.
bendtner had way too many chances in this one. I can't get over Arshavin though, he recreated a goal he scored a long time ago. What a great player.
I used to feel the same way, but he actually does some good. He's made some nice contributions offensively and he can make himself available and create space. His only problem is that he needs to actually finish his chances. Just wait - he'll be great in a season or two.
Maybe if you got this kind of result say.... 5 months ago...? It has been a three (sometimes one) horse race for a while now.
