Well i think overall, we shud be happy to have started our campain with a win and the 3 points. Yes it was a scrappy performance but to be fair some of our main players are not even playing for there clubs at the moment. Also delighted for Keith Fahey, always been a very good footballer:)

Armenia really surprised me .. However I expected they'll play good.. Their only problem is, they have difficulty to score and create big chances. I think a win against Macedonia will give them enough confidence to survive the group stage. Sometimes Armenia was lucky, that's right, but Ireland just made profit of the fact Armenia's defense blundered. In fact it was a game like Belgium-Germany. Belgium played good, 1 wrong in the defense and Germany punishes them with a goal.

The heat over there might have been too much for the Irish. Ireland made it tough for themselves by really going for that goal instead of being patient and bossing the game, but that's usually the case with Ireland. They dont play with much confidence. I was just glad that we held out for the win. :)

armenia had only chances from shots out side the box, don't think they had one clear cut opportunity. Keane had the ball in the net, not sure if he was even offside. hit the post. and st.ledger was unluck from the corner. great finish by fahey.

ireland were lucky to have won this game, but well done to them.

decent game ,very attractive and i think fair result even though i support my countryman(Armenia).I know it was hard for Ireland climate wise but overall both were good enough to win the game!!!
