the better team lost (by penalties), very unlucky, no one can deny that Uruguay was repeatedly saved by the Keeper....
obviously they weren't the better team, as their fighting spirit kept them in the game.
muslera, what a keeper
I think Argentina has the best squad.. but i guess it is not best for the team.. for the last comment, Argentina needs an experienced coach!

Uruguay, the better TEAM won. For all their individual goals they could only supply 5 in the tournament. I would love to see Argentina do well but like they used to some years ago but cohesion is one attribute all their managers cannot find.

Muslera!!! damn

Tevez left Manchester united for City.

Mascherano was with Liverpool.

Arguero most likely joining City.

Messi demolished united twice !

Hence, most of the haters here are the red devils.

yet messi is average player when playing for Argentina?
+4
yet he single handedly demolished united?
coming from the chelsea fan, who didnt win the title. but i dont want to be a hater. it was barcelona's performance as a team manchester united couldnt beat, they played the better game.
neither did you, cause of messi
we won the PL didnt we?
Argentinian goals in 10/11 club competitions

Tevez (Citeh)- 23 goals
Higuain (RM)- 13 goals
Messi (Barca) 53 goals
Lavezzi (Napoli)- 9 goals
Aguero (AM)- 27 goals
Milito (Inter)-8 goals
Di Maria (RM)- 9 goals
Pastore (Palermo)- 14 goals

Thats 156 goals in club football this past year, yet those players combined just for 5 goals in 4 matches with Aguero netting 3 and getting 3 of the team goals against Costa Rica's "B" squad.

There are clearly too many cooks in the kitchen for the albiceleste and some of the players need to be reined in to create some cohesiveness on the pitch. Thankfully there is a great core of younger players that look to be stars for quite some time but I have to imagine Batista is really feeling the heat right now.

Muslera!
All the messi haters must not have watched the game, he was absolutely brilliant and he's the only reason Argentina got the equalizer to send the game to penalties.

And no i'm not a barca, messi, or argentina fan

Argentina have great players, But Uruguay have a better team...oh and they have great players!

Forlan is one of the best. Right up there with Messi.

I think the whole argument about Messi not being good without Xavi or Iniesta is based on the fact that the Argentina midfielders are just poor. Without a creator, i.e. Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Sneijder, Modric to name a few, there's way too much pressure on Messi to take their place. And by taking their place, it's down to the strikers to do their jobs. But to be fair, Uraguay's keeper was unbelievably good, I think Higuain was lucky to even get his first goal past this beast.

I hope Wenger's watching, I'd like to see him at the Emirates.

Tevez and Higuain played terrible this whole tournament. Messi has carried their asses the entire time and has been absorbing all the criticism. Higuain usually plays well for Real, dunno why he can't aim the ball in the southern hemisphere.

I thought Gago played a fantastic match.
I miss riquelme.
+4
Everyone does
Every-time that Riquelme scores el SelecciĂłn always wins. South American Jovenes champions, the under 20 campeones. The Gold medal in the Olympics...the engine that creates chances from the middle of the pitch is the most important position for an offensive minded [talented] team.

No Riquelme, than no chance at being Champions in 2014...
If Messi sucks, what does that make you?

Not one bit surprised they lost, hahaha.
