Watching: Argentina players look ahead to their upcoming World Cup qualifiers as they take part in a training session in Buenos Aires on Tuesday. Argentina have the chance to strengthen their position at the top of the South American World Cup 2014 qualification group standings over the next week. They take on Venezuela in Buenos Aires on Friday and then travel to Bolivia for the 11th of 16 qualifiers five days later. Back in October 2011, Venezuela caused a real upset when a solitary goal from Athletic Bilbao centre back Fernando Amorebieta gave them their first-ever win over Argentina. However, Argentina still top the standings with 20 points from nine games, three points clear of Ecuador and four ahead of Colombia, with the top four nations from the nine-strong group given an automatic place at Brazil 2014.
