clearly a generalization. there are plenty of fantastic players to come out of many african nations. the problem is that they do not play together regularly, as opposed to italy, or spain, or netherlands, or england that have many of their countrymen playing on their club teams.

teams like egypt, ghana, south africa, nigeria, and cote d'voire that have players on both club and national team are pretty good. don't be fooled by a grainy youtube video
