Facts of the match...

1. Justin Mapp was a beast...

2. Mondragon was also a beast...

3. Maicon Santos surprised the crap out of me... This is the same guy who made too many embarrassing attempts on goal this season...

4. If Maicon Santos made that amazing attempt on goal... It would have made Sports Center...

5. Justin Mapp's second goal was brilliant and deserves your vote...

6. If Mondragon made that goal from a goal kick... It would have been a "HOLLY $H*t" moment in football...

7. Though the Union dominated this match... Both clubs played well and footytube thought Eckersley scored also...

Well... Loyalty to a club isn't a bad thing... But I do agree about TFC becoming the leaf of this league... They use to set the standard to... I wonder what happened to that???

Obvious problem is MLSE who own all the bottom dwelling teams in the city. Won't win anything with them managing things the way they are.

shambolic defending on both sides.. I'd say defense is probably the weakest part of the mls. we need to get some quality tacticians to coach over here.

Exactly... I don't believe it's the players at all... We have some world class footballers here but some of the coaching staff sucks... In the defensive department...

Overall this was probably Philadelphia's second worst defensive performance (the worst I'd say was against Dallas), and it wasn't even really THAT awful. Carlos Valdez and Sheanon Williams are beasts, Califf is consistent and dominant, and Harvey is a workhorse who never makes it easy for attackers. Williams and Harvey were beaten by Dallas' speed, but I think this normally very solid and reliable defensive unit just fell asleep once the goals started flowing against Toronto.

toronto are a bit of a kamikaze outfit, some of the defending was woeful.
but you cant take it away from union, they were clinical in their finishing, some fantastic goals, and an awesome win.
i never knew richard eckersley formerly of man utd was playing for toronto, he has a brother as well that played for united, god knows where he is...lol
