Only if La Liga was this good.
La Liga is just as good.
I was happy to see that Torres bagged a brace but to those saying "glad to see the old Torres back" need to realize they are a bit premature. Torres scored 4 goals in two games against a Scandinavian side with nothing to play for and a side that will do well to stay up this year. I'll be singing his praises if he can pull out games like this against bigger clubs.

EDIT: basically what Topshotta said. haha

Good to see Torres score. Goals against FC Nords and Sunderland do not mean he is "back" or getting back to form yet. I remember last year when he scored against Leceister City and Aston Villa in the same week and everyone thought he was gonna go on a tear and he just vanished. If he can sustain this kind of scoring for a month I will welcome back the Torres of old, or young.
It's great to see Torres emerging back to his old self, happy for him, I hope he can keep his confidence !
should play lampard much more
damn.. lampard is like gerrard for liverpool and scholes for manutd

This was his first game back in the side since his injury but yeah hope to see him play more. the club needs a leader on the field.

torres is my second favorite player after berbatov
coming from a manutd fan.! :)
Glad to see former torres back. It was a great game for both sides but Chelsea was much better than Sunderland .
good to see el nino scoring 4 goals in 2 matches. Come on TORRES, show all these haters that the class is still there. well done chelsea.

honestly it's great just to see torres crack a smile again, it's been a while. a happy torres is an in-form torres.
you said it all....glad to see torres happy
sunderland picked it up in the second half, good to see torres scoring again
Our defence is still pretty weak tho. We can't totally close them out. It's Sunderland whom we should've won anyway. Otherwise, we'll be way out of the title league. We're 10 points behind Man Utd and 4 behind City. We have to catch up with them!!
our defense is weak? you're blind...
our defense is not weak the problem is our midfield...we need to fight our opponent in the midfield and oscar, mata, hazard can not do that..we need a strong midfield to back them up whenever they lose the ball....we need essien and romeu badly..the moment romeu left the match sunderland begins to pressure us..trust me we need someone to fight and battle really hard in the midfield and if this is not rectify our defense will always be shaking..

Very nice to see Torres get those 2 goals. I really see him taking off now and scoring some big goals in the next games, he's doing well and I love it. Looks great to see him scoring in the beautiful Chelsea jersey. Love Chelsea and always nice to see Torres scoring.
Very happy about the game. Chelsea started strong and looked great in first half. Torres scored a great goal from a cross from hazard and got it in and was perfect. Was very happy. Then his penalty a perfect shot. I've always being saying Torres should be taking those all time because it boosts his stats and confidence. So was nice to see. Good playing by Chelsea, Torres almost got the hatrick when he nailed the bar but Mata was there to clean up the rebound. Good win for Chelsea, Torres looking sharp and I see a good change in next few games. And good shot by Johnson there to completely mess Cech's judgment of the ball.
Wonderful game. Sunderland were lucky that it was 3-1 and not 4-0.
Sunderland actually played quite good football, just Chelsea were better.
i don't need to see another match for me to draw my conclusion that torres is back but we need a midfielder like essien romeu who can fight for the ball and give possession back to our creative players...
Well for me Torres will always be a mistery. Last year, beginning of the season, we thought he came back to form. We were wrong. This start of the season, we thought he was back and then he went into a slump again.

Now is he really coming back? Let's take a look at who we played against in the last 2 games that Torres performed well. A Danish team that has the worst record on goals conceded in the history of CL and a team that's fighting relagation zone...

I'd wait a couple more matches before making any assessment regarding Torres, I've been dissapointed way too many times making hasty conclusions when it came to him. Also with transfer market soon reopening, could it be a coincidence that he decided to "wake up"..?

Well I think it's fair to say that this time the whole team went into a slump again, not just Torres.

And we should point out that last year in the beginning of the season we were coached by AVB...
