Yeah that's true BG, WHY would a Barca fan be slagging off his own goalkeeper? Surely he should be praising his abilities as a top keeper and having to play in the shadows to Casillas instead of slagging him off!
In my opinion he is not as good as Casillas but is still a top keeper and I've seen him make many a top save for Barcelona!

Yeah i don't think it is good to slag off your own goalkeepers but he isn't doing that. He is simply saying Casillas should be the starter because he is better. That is it. No where does he say Valdez sucks

Yeah but saying Valdes only has a great record because of the players he has in front of him and he is just riding along like a passenger isn't exactly giving him the praise he deserves!

Eh well to say he's riding on somebody else isn't in any way a compliment. Valdez isn't at Casillas' level, but he's still a top, highest level goalkeeper, and Barca would have a difficult time replacing him. All the same, I still remember talking to Catalans who thought Casillas was a bit of an incomparable god.

He is definitely not at the same level as Casillas I'll give you that but it was a nothing game for Spain anyway, almost a friendly as they had qualified by a country mile so why not give their 2nd or 3rd choice keeper a run out and let someone else get a wee shot in goal! lol
