I saw both games and I must admit that Sevilla was very lucky twice..they are playing really bad football recently...this is not the same Sevilla that won the Uefa Cup 2 times....I am a fan of Dortmund but I like Sevilla also..there some great football players in their team...especially..kanouté..fabiano ..etc
Borussia just need more experience, and we need new defenders :/
I was very disappointed, that we didn't succeed in advancing to the next round, but see it from a different point of view. It's a very young (23 on average) and talented team. They will learn a lot from this defeat. Dortmung lost because they lack experience and cleverness, unlike Sevilla. Now they can concentrate on the domestic league, so that they can play CL again next year. I'm sure this team will be the number 1 opponent for bayern in the next years. Once they're dept free, Dortmund will be a football giant once again ;)
That's a great optimistic approach. Hopefully you will be able to hold on to your young talented players and that the club will not sell them to cover for any financial loss or greed. They can always get lured away by bigger payers and clubs.

Also do you think the elimination from the cup will influence self-confidence of the team in its domestic competition?
11th placed La Liga team with 2 draws and 7 losses beat the runaway league leaders of the Bundesliga with 1 draw and 1 loss.... hmmmm.... before anyone asks, no I did not watch the game, but I DID watch the "Dortmund 0-1 Seville" game. I know this doesn't say that much, but still.

It's pretty far fetched to claim that la liga is x times better than BL on the grounds of one game, don't you think?
I am not denying that we don't have the class of Barca or Real but then again BL is much more balanced than la liga which makes it IMO more interesting.

different styles and the both have there fair share of class players...bayern isn't doing too hot and i bet they could beat real...

By the same logic 17th placed Stuttgart owned 7th placed Getafe by 8 pts in Group H. Leverkusen dumped defending champions Atletico in Group B. And midtable Bayern and Schalke topped their CL groups.

your logic makes no sense whatsoever, it is football, bvb is a great side, so is sevilla, if that is your logic then how do you explain cd alcorcon beating real 4:0 in the copa del ray? FOOTBALL ISNT PLAYED ON PAPER! remember hercules alicante?? :D
I'm a barcafan and I can't agree with Hitch. Sevilla is a fantastic side. Just because they've had a tumble this season in La Liga doesn't change that. I'd still rank them in the top 4-5. Look at Munich. You think they're awful just because of a few games? Or Inter Milan?

Give respect to Sevilla and BD, both great teams. I'm hoping to see much more from BD in the future- potentially a champion's league tie!
What a bunch of sore losers you are. Yes, Dortmund were better, Sevilla played bad, but BVB didn't even provide any great chances to score the third goal. Compared to their usual display they weren't too brilliant. Get over it already and stop with those silly complaints and Spain-bashing. Same thing happened after Spain knocked Germany off in the World Cup. Ridiculous
are you kidding me ??? same thing happened?? spain deserved to win the WC!!! because they played the best football and they have no need to act like p*ssys.

its obvious that many of you didnt watch the game last night
yes spain played great footbal. Sevilla played good too, of course. but why the acting at the end?
just to make that clear. i didnt talk about players from spain;italy or south america!
i talked about "teams" from these countries! there are enough players in every team in europe. but in most cases teams out of spain and italy have such manners.
So, why is that? fb education? tradition? coincidence? .. i dont get it.

and no i dont talk about every team out of these countries

@Vishal024
you dont know what this is all about if you talk about offside goals.
good job sevilla their gng to the nxt round
Great performance Dortmund really unlucky!
Embarrassing performance Sevilla... the lack of sportmanship was really sad...!
Of course, and Bayern were considerate after ripping off Fiorentina with that Klose offside goal.
nice comeback vishal youve been waiting a whole year to pop that one out?
+1
Sevilla *face palm* oh yeah Boo I hope they get knock out in the next round if they end up facing Ajax
haters gonna hate
Vishal024: Envious?
I just don't get the linkage between this encounter and Bayern Munich...
that was very very smart of you vishal, you're a genius pal, great recalling abilities, you've surprised everyone in here, well done ! but please let us know , what does it have to do with ANYTHING !?
@vishal... you realize that offside goal was equalized when fiorentina scored an offside goal in the return leg... get your facts straight!
I say unlucky for BVB, but good game (?) I guess..?
But Kagawa became so good in just 3 months! wow.. the national team is looking so much better now, Honda improving, Kagawa, Nagatomo, etc ^^
Let's be realistic, none of us expected that we would easily walk through a group with the likes of PSG and Sevilla. We've just come through some really rough times in recent past but we now have a team full of young and talented players whom work their tails of for their club. That is something to be proud off!

Sevilla, on the other hand, may be a great club with a great history but the way they presented themselves today, I would be embarrassed to call my self a supporter of that club. This was a disgrace to football! It may still be good enough for now but they will certainly not be able to survive in top class football much longer playing like this.
sad thing is, they WILL survive, because fair play really does not win much at all, while lack of sportsmanship does make you successful it seems.

I am surprised there aren't more British people commenting on this, as I have always and will always considered most of them to have an unalterable sense of what's fair play and what's not
You fools should stop having a go at latins and labelling them as divers and cheaters. You should watch more closely when Podolski collapses in the box or Rooney bundles himself over a player's leg. Don't overgeneralize and stereotype latins like that. I watched the game. The teams were even, whether the Sevilla players dived or not you can't make such comments.
+1
yes, everybody dives, but there's those football cultures where such behaviour is really INTEGRAL to what is football and there's those where it isn't - actually where it's condemned much more frequently.
on the whole, Italian, and Spanish it seems, football cultures are more of the former type
I agree with Vishal... it's really quite embarrassing how some people here generalize and even post clearly racist comments. Footy players are individuals and claiming that diving is due to their heritage is just plain bullshit. Maybe the refs in Spain and Italy are not as strict about diving, I don't really know.
Anyway I hope its just due to the disappointment.
However Sevilla players really overdid the delaying of the game and the ref should have punished them harder, since he encouraged this behaviour by not doing so.
@Vishal - After da dived then lay there for like 5 more min and it happened almost every 5-10min on second half.. good job?!
Watch da game and have to say it suck to Sevilla' no sportmanship..
If Sevilla sucked, then Liverpool would be in England's third division.
hahahahaha
muellerino it is because you teutons and the anglos are the best and latin people sucks?!! loll no, you sucks and latin rules!!
just as dumb as his comment, well done!
idiot
Suck It Borussia Dortmund
^seems the fans take it from the players, no class.
+2
actually the dortmund fans were tearing out chairs and vandalizing the stadium, no class either, yet a comment like the one above is absolutely unnecessary
yes, bad reaction of dortmund supporters, but you forgot to mention what the police did in response. overall a shameful ending to an decent game.
You should change your name for AS or DS Sevilla. but i can't decide which one is better- acting school, or diving school

Oscar nominations this year: Sevilla takes them all!
