Gerry Marsden.
The gunners out of FA/Carling and Champions League LOL ANOTHER YEAR BITES THE DUST WENGER. It's a signal for your retirement.
two well deserved goals from two hard-working players and both involved el chicharito, a godsend for manchester united this year. yet, i can't shake the thought that we desperately need a replacement for van der sar if we're to continue beating teams like arsenal in the future. hugo lloris anyone?
Almunia actually played pretty well he made two great saves from Chicharitos efforts, he didnt have a bad game at all.

Just dont underestimate Chico's header during the 1st goal it was really powerful and Almunia couldnt push it away properly and Fabio capitalised.

As for the second that was a great Glancing header from Rooney across the face of the goal, unsaveable.
The main difference here was VdS and Almunia. The former saves when it matters, the latter when it doesn't. Both defenses were crap! One thing is clear though - United will not sustain a title hunt if they remain in all competitions

how do you figure?? We are still in the hunt for count 'em, 3 trophies. How many are you in again??
Bullerous......
LOL. Arsenal fans must be sick and tired of losing to Manchester United. I feel for ya.

Van Der Sar is the man! Fabio and Rafael are awesome. Almunia is a lucky f**k.

John O'Shea and Wes Brown need to go. Wes Brown had almost 2 own goals today!! Wtf

I just LOVE Rafael! So aggressive, such passion and will to do something. Wonderful!

Manchester United will laways be the better team than arsenal. 11 premier league titles says it al. no arguments
+2
nobody wants to argue with a retarded troll, you're right.
+3
but to hell with it you pissed me off and i'm gonna stick by my team. you haven't gone a whole season undefeated (let alone 49). You haven't been in the premier league/ first division longer than ANY other team. Everyone loves to s**t on the team who isn't winning trophies currently but we'll see who wins this years premier league
+3
nobody gives a s**t about your undefeated records since you don't win a thing for the last 6 years... i do respect arsenal, club's history, players and staff, BUT some of your fans and even players piss me off because they seem to be over-confident. How many of you were arguing on the quadruple this year? How many stupid remarks in our adress have we seen recently from your "star" players?

You should agree that in the last 20 years or so, manchester were the better sie by far.

I agree with rocknrolla, how can you defend arsenals performances in recent seasons. You must be having a laugh talking about the longest stay in the first division, such an insignificant fact.

@Goons

Spot on mate, former glory's are brilliant and Arsenal's history is filled with Glory.

But the last few seasons they've lacked Conviction and any real Arsenal fan will acknowledge that.
Arsenal have never truly replaced Adams and that type of player......
keeper of the week VDS
Seriously, what's so special about Kieren Gibbs? He's been outplayed by Rafael and Valencia, very poor in defending
Baines deserves England first choice left back much more

This arsenal team has some amazing talent. you just wonder what they could do if they had a younger version of Viera in terms of the mindset, grit and just plain f**kin captain material. Sorry, fabregas just doesn't cut being a captain, no questions on his footballing skill and loyalties.

Van der Sar is closing on schmeichel's level of reverence among us Man utd fans.
Agreed, Vermaelen is Arsenal's future captain if you watch his passion on the pitch, although this season he's played 7 matches due to an achilles injury. You can however look up any youtube video of him and see the determination he has.

Hopefully.

Also, if only they could keep their game-changers fit for whole seasons.
Yes well unfortunately, Van Persie is made of fine china so I honestly think the thing we need to rectify is to buy another clinical, deadly striker as we only have one and he's prone to injury. If we had 2 we would be devastating. Think of the goals Arsenal have scored this season even while Van Persie was on the injury list.

It's just unfortunate that both starting keepers are injured as well as the 2 CBs. It doesn't happen often enough to not be called a bad fluke. I think a lot of the reason for more injuries at Arsenal is that the players are so young, their bones and muscles are still developing. Especially when they're in a hard physical league like the EPL.
wilshere should be arsenals next captain when fabregas decides to jump ship. more passion and commitment then the whole arsenal team sometimes. words cant describe how much i love that kid. pure legend
Van Der Sar played very well. Arsenal just don't have that luck on their side. Hopefully they are saving it all for the EPL.
