this is how much we've missed almunia ive a feeling this is so not over yet :)
uh huh lol
you know what i cant stand?? a great player like ronaldo flopping around on the field waving his hands in the air at the ref and his own players like a baby. Completely ruins watching two great teams play for me. He has so much talent but the maturity of a 12 year old. When will he learn to keep his nose down and just play football?
I think and wish arsenal are in the final cuz i know chelsea are gonna go through to the final and arsenal are the easy opponent :)
Well there goes the conventional wisdom that Manchester United don't have a defensive midfielder. Whoever that big, black bloke was that was playing just in front of the United back four was doing a fantastic job of breaking up all the Arsenal attacks. - Football 365
United are too s**t to go through
Well Zak, at least we don't park busses in front of our goal like Chelsea did against Barca. Call us what you want but we play 'total footy' not long ball like you and Liverpool. At least last season Man Utd took Barca on and that is how we got to the final.
now we know where crowleyfagnited gets his facts from doesnt have any himself
well... the last night game for me is lucky for arsenal by right if we look it again MU supposed to have several goals...luckily it was almunia who was guarded the post (if fabianski I bet the MU really got all the tries) poor to arshevin where he only can be the spectator instead of to play with his friends.. but at least my friends really dare not to lambaste me during the 90 minutes..
We totally made Arsenal look 'average' and were it not for Almunia, the crossbar and the cheating linesman this tie will have been over. Giggsy was robbed!!!
THE CHEATING LINESMAN, MY FOOT! "Giggsy" was offside!
gigsy was on you dikhed
off!
Not an exciting match, but Almunia did really well. Man U owned the first half. Arsenal has little attacking moves. Dull match, but stil good play by both teams.
What a crackerjack next week's gonna be! *cross fingers for a United-Barca final*
this is how much we've missed almunia ive a feeling this is so not over yet :)
O' Shea, who would've guess it... Overall, Man U played well at Old Trafford, especially Tevez. But I look for Rooney to have a big impact at the Emirates next week. (I'm predicting a Barca vs. Man U final--Chelsea already had there chance.)
United looked the best of the four semi-final clubs left in this performance. That said, man of the match HAS to be Manuel Almunia; Sacha Baron Cohen's fraternal twin did a damn fine job in the face of a United onslaught.
Great Job by Almunia.
It would have been easier if we drew, but 1-0 is not all doom.
Manu are yet to beat Arsenal at the Emirates, and we could have Clichy and Van Persie back so it's not over yet.
Watch out!
you know that the the second leg is gonna be A CLASSIC. :)
It'll be a classic because of a great Arsenal fightback!
Great performance by Manchester, multiple chances on goal, wish we could have scored a couple times for aggregate... It's looking good for the future.
