Malaga's first goal should have stood. Baptista was shoved into the keeper. Toulalan's tackle was pretty wreckless. That's a red for me.
Yet another bullshit red card to aid a Spanish side...Uefa totally not biased towards them, no doubt.
Toulalan should have been sent off as well
How is that a bs red card mate?? Defour committed at least 3 yellow cards that merited a second yellow before the imminent red card. And also stamping a players ankle is considered dangerous play he's actually lucky he didn't get a straight red for it.

lol cheshire, your low iq and blind hate is a hilarious combination.

Butthurt chestnut song of the month: Moan and groan by mark Morisson.
the first goal was a very well taken strike
Antonio Banderas!

Quality win.

isco is amazing, can already see him taking the world by storm

and piazon, why did we let you go out on loan? :( so bloody good
Malaga deserves the win but should have 1 player, Toulalan, sent off

With his recent form and this amazing goal, I think Isco's price tag just went up a couple million euros.
His buyout clause went from 16 million to 45 the moment city showed interest.
wow, 3 la liga teams in quarterfinals, I'm surprised not EPL teams are here anymore, not even the most pessimistic English fans would've thought of that, Malaga did a great game and deserved to be here, congrats guys, in other news Pellegrini showed that with the player he has he could do as good as mourinho's team that must have 10th times or more budget.
yup, completely necessary to bring in mourinho and his team in. Well done.

wasn't malaga rich at first when when rich owner bought them a couple of seasons ago? isn't that the reason why they were able to buy players like Toulalan, Saviola, Julio Baptista, Demichelis and Santi Cazorla?
+1
Of course no English teams. If Malaga played Bayern Munich, and Çakir havent played for RM, there wouldn't be 3 La Liga teams for sure
yeah, there wouldn't be 3 La Liga teams, but there will still be no EPL teams :P

Cakir fcuked Madrid more than he did Utd

fantastic performance by joaquin and isco. seriously bullied the porto's defence and running them ragged. what a turnaround by malaga. its such a far cry from the lethargic and poor performance they put in for the 1st leg.
This is to the EPL fans, infact all the fans in the world who can confidently say that EPL has more quality and stronger teams than La Liga; newsflash, 3 is better than 0, AND AS AN EPL FAN MYSELF, its a shame that we have this dumbassery, La Liga has the strongest teams in the world, end of story.

Not only that, look at the number of Spanish players in the top EPL teams. Silva, Torres, Mata, Michu, Cazorla and there's more. Imagine they played in La Liga? Even without them we have 3 teams in the quarter finals and I'm certain that if Atletico Madrid was in for Valencia we would have four.

Exactly, thank you, I don't know why we have so many ignorant EPL fans its fraggin annoying.

don't forget torres! (and martinez @ bayern)

Don't forget the Bundesliga! Or Italy!
Coming from a guy whose super expensive team got kicked out of the group stages two seasons in a row and only managed 3 points due to some of the softest penalties ever awarded in the history of the CL, it sort of makes sense.
For teams like Arsenal and United who got robbed, it isn't as clear cut.
To be honest Cheshire101, even last year when City won the EPL and were having a great year, I still thought La Liga was more powerful, I've always thought La Liga was more powerful, and believe me, I follow both those leagues for a while now.
I can only thin of Martinez in the Bundesliga? Who else? You had Raul a couple years back. No one I can think of in Italy except Bojan whose career is flushing down the toilet.
Job well done malaga
Isco..amazing
What a Goal from Isco. Wow!

i am a complete neutral but the referee seemed to do horribly here.

the first goal was a foul. the keepr got the ball, the player didnt, and yet took the keepr out with his raised feet

the red didnt seem like a red at all.

and the sliding tackle from behind seemed like a easy red...

+3
The first goal? If You mean Saviola's goal, then the referee disallowed it.
I agree with about the red card that it shouldn't have been a red, unless it was a goal opportunity ( wasn't shown in this highlights wether it was a goal opportunity or not ).
+4
I don't know - I thought the first goal should have stood. The player was checked into the keeper; he made contact only because the defender pushed him in the line of the keeper's dive.

Red seemed weak though and the later slide seemed worse.
+2
stepping on the heels with studs from behind is red. i know alot of you comment after watching highlights but atleast watch the longer ones before you comment like this.
Defour was already on yellow card... so either ways he would have got a second yellow and a red...
+1
It wasn't a straight red. It was a 2nd yellow.

Good job to all for articulating their match analysis based on a 30 second highlight.
Its a Spanish side - they get help from the refs.
lol a Man Utd fan talking about refs.
