There is no denying that both these sides are world class. If you deny this you are simply an idiot.

Tottenham hasn't won at Anfield for what, 18 yrs?

Well deserved victory. Liverpool's the better team at the moment, but Tottenham was better this game.

Good sides? Yes.
World class? Not imo.
Some players in both teams are definitely world class. But not the teams as a whole.

If denying that both these sides are world class makes me an idiot then I guess I must be the biggest idiot in the world! Oh wait a minute, I'm not an idiot! :) World Class teams win some trophies every now and again. Tottenham haven't won the league in 50 years. You've never seen your team win the league in your lifetime, nor will you ever see them win it. Yeah! :) Who's the idiot now? I'm not saying that they don't have players of real quality. They do! But they don't ever win anything. They'll never win anything. They might pick up the odd FA Cup every 10 years or so, nothing too fancy. :p
Interesting glory hunter comment...

Most Barcelona fans are glory hunters nowadays. I'll bet most of the fans of the team didn't support Barcelona 6-7 years ago. It's the same with Manchester United. Most Man U fans only started supporting the team in the past 4 or 5 years because Man U have been winning a lot. The vast majority of Spurs fans have been supporting the team for quite a while. Most of us have supported Tottenham through all those years when the team was near the bottom of the table. I wouldn't consider any of you Barca or MU people real fans. If you support a team only because they've been winning or have been really close to winning, then you're a glory hunter. Of course, if you've been supporting a big team like Barcelona since you were little, then you are probably a true fan of your team. Real fans identify with their team, see things that they like within their team, and follow their team almost obsessively. I bet Jogador80 doesn't even know the upcoming kids in Barcelona's B side. You probably only watch Barcelona for Messi, Xavi, and the rest. What is your team going to be like in a decade, two decades? Will it be the same situation? Who will be the stars then? Can they compare with the young ones of your closest rivals? What's the financial situation in your team going to be like? I doubt a fan like you really cares.

so United & Barca fans are all glory hunters ? jelous because Tottenham don't have any glory for their fans to hunt ?... i've been a United fan for almost 19 years now, and i'm 18, that's all my life, so how's that glory hunting ? i couldn't care less weather United never won a trophy again, i'd still wear the shirt with pride, i'd still go to the games, and i'll still keep the United crest that's tattoo'd over my heart, fans like you give other fans a bad name, that you're actually neive enough to think that because somebody supports a big club then they must be glory hunting... and can i just say, it's near imposible to recognise what the team's going to be like 2 decades from now, in the next decade it's fairly easy, all you have to do is show up and keep an eye on the reserve games to recognise that Uniteds future is bright aslong as SAF stays in good health and keeps nurturing the youngsters like he previously did with the likes of Giggs, Scholsey, Neville & Beckham... i know you're only defending your team, i mean, who wouldn't defend their team, but to say that because somebody supports a big club then they are hunting glory is just ludacris
lol the guy just said tottenham and liverpool arent world class coz they dont win trophies. Which is true.

Tottenham fans couldnt say anything so they accused him of being a glory hunter fan. Askin if they know the b team etc. too much bullshit.

so du think ur a world class team coz u know ur b team or coz u been supportin ur team for years without any trophies? im usre no if yes then u are idiots.

makes some sense
not sure if this an glory hunbter but yea... I don't agree espiacly Tottenham are not quite world class.... just looking at the players the only one world class really is Steven Gerrad..... very good top two sides though neither' a less

...3-1 tells you anything?

Clearly a troll. Liverpool are a quality side and next season looks bright for them. Flanagan and Spearing are looking sharp. Both played well this game and in their previous few matches. Flanagan's shove (if it can even be considered a shove) on Pienaar was definitely NOT a penalty.
Also, Napoli are the real trash. You guys were even second by quite a bit at one point but then you got leapfrogged by Inter haha. Inter is a team that's already over the hill and you actually lost out to them.
don't feed the troll
ha ha so funny!! This was a one off...... nice one!!! HA HA yep I agree that Spurs dominted alot of the game yes
loooooooool tottenham dominated liverpool 2-0 at home! embarrasing unlucky liverpool
shut up they didn't dominate at all!

embarrasing.... pft it was embarrasing for us when you left anfield with that unbelievably lucky point in the very first game!
arsenal is di worst side in di world those players who has skill in football at dat club need to leave b4 its too late

Arsenal 2-3 Tottenham
Arsenal 2-3 West Brom

Arsenal 0-1 Newcastle
Remind you of anything, Shahinzo19?!!

Chinman, thanks for the incredible insight. Cheers to that. But football and everything else aside, I kind of get the feeling that you're not very intelligent.
Albarosa, regardless, Arsenal have been supremely disappointing in the latter half of the season. I don't think you guys have had one win since that draw to Liverpool. What a sad end to such a promising team, but I don't feel too bad for your Gooners :P
yea loser!!! Mr Trolley Moley, they had even possesion so ha! Ur only glory day this season was the one and only good perfamnce agaisnt Barcelona!! lol
I AM SO ANGRY ABOUT THT GAME AT ANFIELD RRGGHHH!!
great strike from van der vaart!
Spurs played great, Dawson/King outstanding, amazing shot from VDV, not a pen doesn't matter pool still would have lost. :D
I personally don't mind this result. We dont want Europa, which is going to distract us from our real goal, catching up with manure next year. Let Tottenham struggle with Thursday games in some strange and far part of the old soviet union while we spend it training and scheming at Melwood. Aside from that, Webb is still a crappy ref., Flanagan played very well and the King is OUR MANAGER!!! Thank you God.
......and John Henry of course.
Haha...i bet both teams had that excuse ready in case they lost...
Why is the FA not looking into Howard Webbs record?
I don't think he has any noncontroversial games...except the World Cup Finals....

But King has returned...we will surely do welll next season..maybe the treble...
+2
First win one cup. Then talk about treble.

By the what have you won in last 5 years ?
Just because Barcelona and Inter did the Treble in 2 successive years, every fan of every team thinks his team will win the Treble every season lmao. Treble is extremely hard people. It was the first time a Spanish and an Italian team did it in their long history so it really makes me laugh when I keep seeing every supporter saying that... A Liverpool supporter no less lol!!
It's great to be in good spirits after a title win. However, Bynge, you're only trolling at this point. The LAST word he used was treble, in a 3 word sentence, 33% of which is comprised of MAYBE.

Why don't you people just relax and let him be hopeful for success? He's literally only speaking in high regard to the reinstallment of a club legend and hopes for success. Why do you both have to jump down his throat about it?

Honestly, I think that on this very page, the 'pool v spurs page and their home loss and all, it's pretty pathetic to throw in 'what have you won in the last 5 years' as if that's relevant to anything at all aside from your malicious intention. You've just won a title, and you're here, doing this? Shouldn't you be enjoying yourself with fellow United supporters having a pint and celebrating?

Please, be a little more considerate of your posts; this is a friendly discussion site. Not a 1-up every post you read or 'tell people like it is' chamber. Hitch, I know you're not trying to be an ass or anything, but to go from 'maybe the treble' to 'every fan of every team thinks his team will with the treble every season' is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

How about 'good luck' and just leave it at that, is that really too difficult?

well said, Jawn! In these cases, you just need to say "f**k off!" :)

just like to note the marked professionalism of both sides' managers

Did you watch the game or just read a summary of the result written by someone who has his head up Kenny Dalglish's a**?
Next season looks very promising :D
i can tell your a real liverpool fan we are going to be outstanding next season
Nah, anyone can see that Liverpool's got a great side. Although you do need to ship out some people. I would keep Jovanovic and Maxi (even though he's only been good in the past few games; he's been sh*t in the first 2/3 of the season) Kuyt (he's a workhorse) and Suarez. You've got good young players: Carroll, Spearing, Flanagan, Pacheco and I think you have some more decent young players in the reserves. Gerrard should be coming back and Lucas is alright in midfield. Reina is decent in goal but you will need to buy at least one solid centre half (you've only got Carragher atm and he's getting old). Glen Johnson is a good full back but I think you'll need to buy another one as well.

Also, please do not play N'gog again. He has been the most useless excuse for a striker I have ever seen in my whole life of watching football. I don't know why he was chosen to play against Braga, I think he cost Liverpool a chance to win the cup. He has no movement at all, does not make good runs, dicks around all over the pitch, can't make good passes (can hardly even keep the ball long enough to set up for a pass), and when needed to finish from 5 yards out, pokes it wide. I'm not even a Liverpool fan and it's frustrating to watch him.
